10 Signs You Have A Little Sister

Having a little sister is a love/hate relationship on its own. You can't get rid of them, but they're always there when you need someone to talk to. Basically you have a best friend for life that won't get mad at you for more than an hour, if you're lucky. But, sometimes you just want to kick them to the curb and say, "see ya, loser." Unfortunately, you're stuck with them forever and bound by blood. I can just imagine my little sister looking at me with her devious smile and saying, "YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME FOREVER!!" No matter how annoying they are, you're always glad that they still stayed by your side at all times. She's your BFF, the person you tell all your secrets to, and the shoulder you cry on when you just need to vent. Here are 10 signs you have a little sister of your own.

1.) You always find your missing clothes in their closet. "Have you seen my sunflower crop top?? I can't find it anywhere and I didn't wear it!" - Me. My sister's answer will always be, "No, stop accusing me!" But then, I'll always find it when I snoop through her closet and calling her out. She'll then say, "OH, hehe, MY BAD." #rude

2.) They always want tag along with your friends. Whenever I go out with my friends, my sister will ALWAYS say, "CAN I COME?!" And when I say no, my parents will always tell me to bring her along with me. Ugh, can't get rid of her ever.

3.) You can't lie to them about anything. All those "I'm fine", she sees right through it. She's that annoying investigator that you can't get rid of. She'll always charge into your room unannounced and say, "SPILL IT. NOW."

4.) You two have your own secret language. My sister and I have our own stupid language of random sounds. I can't even explain to you what they mean, but somehow we understand each other. I'm sure you know what that's like. #meh

5.) You argue about nothing. I cannot tell you how many times my sister and I argue about who's turn it is to take a shower, or who gets the car that night. I kid you not, we get into huge fights. But we always laugh about it a few minutes later.

6.) You always get unwanted compliments from them. #mean. Those "what's that on your face", "you're wearing that?", or "you have concealer? use it." All those honest compliments that you'll get from that little sister of yours. She's the real MVP for pointing out all them imperfections.

7.) You always had to babysit for free. Your parents always made you stay home at night to make sure your little sister don't get themselves into trouble. You're essentially the babysitter for the night, but you never get paid...

8.) You always had to be the DD before she was even 21. Ugh, all those "Mom said you have to drive me to (insert friend) house, k thanks." Now that I'm 21 and she can drive, she's now my personal DD, but for the right reasons.

9.) She's your biggest fan. Whenever you do something, she's always right there besides you cheering you on. My sister always writes me little post-it notes and put them on my door. For example, when I had the SATs, she wrote "GOOD LUCK SISTA, YOU'RE GONNA DO AWESOME!"

10.) She will always love you unconditionally. She will always be with you, no matter what and loving you. She'll always stand up for you, even when you're wrong, especially against your parents.

So tell make sure to tell your sister you love her and she's the real MVP! Even when they are a brat most of the time, they're still awesome for always being your little sister. <3

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
