It's finally my senior year, and I'm starting to realize I might have been here for too long. Here's how I know:
1. You have an unreal amount of HPU gear.
We all have done it; standing in long lines, getting to the game early, and waiting a tireless amount to swipe your passport for HPU branded t-shirts, koozies, hats, water bottles, sunglasses and now, selfie sticks.
2. You have a collection of inappropriate street signs.
You know the drill, it's freshman year and High Point University will make you a free custom purple street sign. I swear I've seen it all--Pretty Girl Twerk, Slutcave--the list goes on. You know you have one, but we won't call you out.
3. The Baristas at Starbucks know you by first name.
They have your order ready by the time you are at the front of the line; heck, you probably even have a reusable Starbucks cup.
4. You've danced on all of the frat furniture.
You can't count the number of sofas you have stood on, taken selfies on, and possibly fallen off of.
5. You have Campus Enhancement on speed dial.
Whatever problem you have, whether it is flooding the room or needing to get a new mirror installed, Campus Enhancement is the first one to call. And they get the job done in record time.
6. You refuse to order books until after the first day of classes.
Ordering books in advance is a rookie mistake. We all know to wait a couple of days, because who wants to spend $300 on a textbook they never use.
7. You know that Slane pool is your last option.
The Slane pool is always overcrowded with freshmen. They are too nervous to wander far from their side of campus.
8. Dreading the possibility of an indoor concert.
It might be free, it might be Calvin Harris, but let's be real, Beyonce is the ONLY person that could get me to go to an indoor concert at the Millis Gym with the other 4,000 sweaty, belligerent students here.
9. Knowing your Prime order before you sit down.
Yeah, Prime is supposed to be for learning etiquette and tasting dishes from around the world, but once you take the first bite of your favorite meal, there is no turning back.
10. Parking in reserved because you just DGAF.
You've realized that parking here is non-existent even if security and all of their tickets haven't.
