1. It looks like fall outside.
During the Halloween season, it is also fall. The leaves are changing color, the leaves are all over the ground, and the air is getting cooler. Everyone knows that as soon as fall hits, it is Halloween time!
2. There are Halloween decorations everywhere.
When Halloween comes, everyone goes crazy to try and have their house be the scariest or the cutest Halloween on the block. People buy those big blow up grim reapers, gravestones, fog machines, and more just to decorate with and scare people. Once you see those decorations going up, it starts to set in that it’s October and that it’s Halloween.
3. You can walk into Walmart and see the Halloween costumes and masks.
You know it's Halloween when you walk into Walmart and see two or three aisles filled with Halloween costumes, masks, fake blood, wigs, witch hats, etc. Once they start putting up those decorations and all the necessities to make your Halloween costume amazing, you know it is that time of year again, and it makes you so excited. I know that I am not the only one, but I have to go down those aisles every time I go to Walmart during Halloween time because it gets me so excited!
4. CANDY.
We can’t forget about the candy! During Halloween time, there is always so much candy. Candy makes Halloween the best time of the year because who doesn’t love eating candy? Once those aisles of candy are stocked and people start giving out treats, you know Halloween is upon us, and it is so exciting.
5. Halloween movies play nonstop.
You know it's Halloween season when you see that Hocus Pocus is playing on Freeform every day. Disney Channel always brings back all of the Halloween movies such as the Halloween Town movies, Twitches, and more. You also know it is Halloween when they play the classic scary movies such as the movies with Michael Myers, Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, and so much more. Once the movies start going on TV, you know Halloween is near.
6. Halloween festivals, fall festivals, and pumpkin patch visits.
Once the festivals start going, you know it is Halloween. During the season of Halloween, there are always festivals happening around town or anywhere for that matter. Some example would be Oktoberfest and town festivals for Halloween and to celebrate fall. You also know it is Halloween time when it’s time to go to the pumpkin patch to find your perfect pumpkin. It is so fun going to places to pick out the best pumpkin to use to carve or to make the best pumpkin pie with.
7. Haunted Houses.
When it is time for haunted houses, you know it’s that time of year again. You get all of your friends together on a Friday or Saturday night, look up the different haunted houses in your area, or even the ones not in your area because you just want to get scared because this only happens once a year and it’s so much fun to be scared with your friends.
8. Pumpkin spice EVERYTHING.
It’s Halloween when you become obsessed with pumpkin spice again. Pumpkin spice spray, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice soap, pumpkin spice candles, cookies, etc. Everything is pumpkin spice during Halloween time and fall time.
9. Halloween cookies.
You know it's Halloween when the different Halloween sugar cookies get put out at Walmart and other places. There are pumpkins, ghosts, and so many different sugar cookies. They are all in honor of Halloween and once you see those, buy them, and eat them, you know it’s that time again.
10. Pumpkin carving.
Finally, it's Halloween season once you have carved a pumpkin. Once you have carved a pumpkin you got from a pumpkin patch or from Walmart, a grocery store, or wherever, you know it is Halloween. It’s so fun to carve pumpkins with your family or friends. Once you have to stick your hand in the pumpkin to get the seeds and more out, you know it's Halloween for sure because any other time of the year that would be weird. Once you decorate and carve your pumpkin, it gets you pumped for Halloween and you then realize Halloween is finally here now.
