In college, you meet some of your best friends. Between them and your high school friends, your horizons are expanded. The memories you make last a lifetime, and nothing can replace them. Some signs you're fortunate enough to have a friend for life are as follows:
1. You can tell them everything about yourself, but it's as if they already know.
You both can relate to each other right from the very start.
2. They are your mirror image with a different face.
You are alike, yet very different. You bring out the best qualities in one another.
3. You never have to have your guard up.
Stuffing your face with cheese fries? They won't think you're a pig! Broke up with that guy through a mere text message? It's all good! This is a judgement-free zone.
4. Although no one likes sharing food, it's okay when they take some from you.
5. They know how you take your coffee.
Half and half and sugar, all day every day!
5. They also know if you do not like coffee, and in that case, they must know your favorite candy.
Even if it's not just your average gummy worms.
6. Even if they have different interests, you find yourself looking into them.
"You don't know who Bo Bice is?! The American Idol runner-up to Carrie Underwood in season four? I love his fringe and he has the voice of an angel." *gets out phone and Googles Bo Bice*
7. They stick around through good times and bad times.
Almost everyone looks for loyalty in a friend. Being a friend means being there through every trial and tribulation.
8. Everyone basically knows you're a package deal.
So if one of you gets hit on, the other obviously has to also.
9. They truly listen to you.
A conversation is not the same when someone twists it to be about them. A friendship can never be one-sided.
10. You can trust them more than anyone else.
They constantly have your back.
