Winter break is good for one thing: binging new shows on Netflix. Below are 10 shows that you should add to your recently watched:
"One Tree Hill"
"One Tree Hill" follows the lives of half-brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) through high school and adulthood. "One Tree Hill" aired on the WB/CW for eight seasons, all of which are currently on Netflix. If you’re interested in a great show that will send you on an emotional roller coaster, "One Tree Hill" is the show for you.
"Arrested Development"
Starring Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth, "Arrested Development" tells "the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together." This comedy aired on Fox for three seasons from 2003 until its cancellation in 2006. However, Netflix picked it up for a fourth season in 2013, and in case you love it and want more, a fifth season is in the works.
"American Horror Story"
Ryan Murphy, the man behind shows such as "Glee" and "Scream Queens" brings you the thrilling television show, "American Horror Story." Each season has a different plot, but all begin to link together. Seasons one through four are currently on Netflix and season five is currently being aired on FX, and currently starring Lady Gaga. If you like to stay on the edge of your seat, "American Horror Story" is for you.
"Grey’s Anatomy"
"Grey’s Anatomy" follows the lives of a group of doctors in Seattle, focusing on one doctor in particular, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). "Grey’s Anatomy" has been airing on ABC since 2005 and is currently in its 12th season. Seasons 1-11 are currently streaming on Netflix. If you want to become emotionally attached to a show, and possibly become a surgeon along the way, "Grey’s" is the show for you.
"Breaking Bad"
"Breaking Bad" is probably one of the most famous television shows of our generation. "Breaking Bad" follows terminally ill chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) who’s trying to make ends meet. Alongside an old student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) the two turn an old RV into a meth lab and Walter finds himself in dangerous situations. "Breaking Bad" aired on AMC for five seasons, all which can be found on Netflix.
"Friends"
If you’ve never heard of "Friends," you’ve probably been living under a rock since birth. "Friends" follows the lives of you guessed it, a group of friends living in Manhattan. We’ve all probably caught a bunch of episodes on Nick at Nite, but if you’re interested in watching all 10 seasons, you can find every episode on Netflix.

"Jane the Virgin"
"Jane the Virgin," which parodies telenovelas, follows religious Latina Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez), who at 23 gets artificially inseminated with her boss’s baby. Jane finds herself in many difficult situations while trying to cope with the fact that she’s a pregnant virgin. "Jane the Virgin" is currently on a winter hiatus on the CW and will return on Monday, January 25. The first season is currently streaming on Netflix, and the first eight episodes of season two can be found on the CW’s website.
