One year ago this week, I stepped (actually I crutched...long story) off my flight and back onto American soil after a month abroad in England. Summer is a time of exploration and discovery, and for college students, the best way to complete this is through a study abroad program. The experience I had and the many memories I created (many of which were created when eating) are some of my favorite. Since most of my memories were created over a meal (or snack...or drink), I want to share with you some of England's fantastic restaurants. My trip to London last summer was one of my favorites, and for many reasons. The people I traveled with and the places I uncovered are indescribable. I want to share some of England's gems with you, most of which will be located in London, so that you don't have to worry about anything on your next trip across the pond. Here are some of the food places where I created many of my irreplaceable memories, and I hope you do too:
London Area:
1. Hotbox
I still talk about this restaurant on the daily (I'm completely serious). This is a must-visit. The barbecue and unique plates are unreal and delicious.
2. Fraq's Lobster Shack
Another place I frequently talk about. This is a small restaurant with delicious lobster rolls and courgette fritters, I highly recommend it.
3. The Red Lion
There are a few of these across the city and my favorite was located near the London Eye and Big Ben. It's the perfect pub spot after a day of touring the city's most popular photo-ops.
4. King's Head Pub and Dining House

5. The Black Orchid Thai Cuisine
When you are tired of pub food, this is the perfect place for you. The food is fresh and incredible, and there are options that will satisfy everyone.
6. Sprinkles
Need a sweet treat to complete your day? This is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth.
7. Capital Restaurant
This restaurant became my go-to. This is another wonderful place to go when pub food just isn't what you are in the mood for.
Bath:
8. The Pump Room
You can't go to England without enjoying tea time and this is the perfect spot nestled in an incredible, history-filled city. You will feel like English royalty while dining in this eatery.
9. Jacob's Coffee House
A small, quirky coffee house that will have you feeling right at home. The sandwiches and drinks are delicious and completely Instagram-worthy.
Stratford -upon-Avon:
10. Quickly's
We ate here quickly (ha) between various tourist spots on a typically rainy day. The meal I ate was not what won me over, the scones did!. The scones were awesome and the clotted cream and raspberry jam hit the spot.
