How will you survive finals?

10 Reminders for Finals Week

For anyone, highschool or college that is stressing about finals or studying for finals here's a list on how to survive.

1. Study

Okay, so this one is pretty obvious. (Well, sort of.) Study, but not your typical 'head-in-the-books' study! Studying isn't always word for word, and your test questions aren't! Try relating things to yourself, your life, or make abbreviations. If you're really stressed, make sure you go over things a few times and write it out .

2. RELAX

Relaxing is actually going to help you more than you'd think. Stressing only makes your mind race, and that usually means you're going to forget things. Take your time. Breathe in and breathe out. Yes, finals are important, but so is being mentally stable. If that means you have to watch an hour and a half of Bob's Burgers, then go ahead.

3. SLEEP

I cannot express how important this is. Your body is going to be over-stressed because you are stressed. You need to sleep to let your body recover. You won't perform well if you can barely even function! All nighters are not recommended, especially if you want to pass. You need at least 8 - 9 hours!

4. Eat Smart

Make sure you don't do what the above gif does! Of course you know to eat but do you know what you should be eating? Breakfast is in fact the most important meal of the day because studies show, those who don't eat in the morning score lower than those who do. Your mom wasn't kidding when she said eat oatmeal before a test! Eat fruits too! they're nature's sugar and will help you stay energized and on top of things!

5 Drink Lots of Water

No, forreal. You should really drink lots of water! Your brain can soak up way more information when you're fully hydrated. Drinking lots of coffee, red bull, monster, or whatever caffeinated concoction, you're going get dehydrated and maybe even have a caffeine overdose (yes it's possible). You should probably stay away from these drinks anyways, they're loaded with unhealthy substances.

6. Hang Out With Friends

That's right hang out with your friends! Just make sure you limit yourselves to a few hours. Sure, finals are important, but you deserve a break! Hitting the books can be boring but take some time to yourself and go out with your friends and enjoy! Or maybe even study together, if you can actually accomplish something.

7. Find and Return Your Textbooks

Even though you've probably never opened some of them, (or all of them) you still need to give them back! Unless you bought them of course, but who's crazy enough to do that?

8. Be Prepared

Make sure you have everything you need for your final! Bring 2 pencils, pens, calculators, snacks, water, whatever! Check twice before you leave your driveway!

9. Think Positive!

Don't psych yourself out! You got this! If you've done all of these tips you're set! Remember you're a smart individual, and you're going to do well! Confidence is the easiest way to ace a test and you have to be confident to pass!

10. Complain in Agonizing Pain AFTERWARDS

CONGRATS! You've finished all of your finals! Now you can complain, continue your open relationship with Netflix, sleep for 20 years, eat tons of junk food, and cry about your anatomy final that you sold your soul for to pass.

To end the article here are my favorite gifs that I feel are related to finals.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
