Having a sister is having a forever friend and somehow I got blessed with two of the most amazing sisters and friends in the world. They cry when i cry and laugh when I laugh and they are the true definition of unconditional love. Here's ten reasons why having sisters is the most amazing thing in the world.
1. You always have someone to vent about life with.
Whether it be issues with school, boys, or friends. You always have someone to yell about life with. Whether that friend of yours ditched you again or the person at Chipotle forgot your sour cream your sister is always there with open ears and an open heart to listen to all of your problems.
2. You have two wardrobes.
This worst thing ever when you are younger, you hate sharing your clothes with your sisters and it causes 90% of your fights. But as you get older you learn to share and realize that when one of you gets a new pair of shoes it means you both get a new pair of shoes. You can openly go shopping ineach others' closets and it makes it a lot easier to find the perfect thing to wear for that grad party, wedding, or just to school the next day.
3. You have the biggest supporters and cheerleaders.
When you have soccer games all day Saturday and Sunday you always know that your sisters are going to be there cheering you on, on the sidelines. When you get in a fight they are the first ones to stand up for you and defend you. When you get that new job, or get an A on that test, or you just stick to a diet (or don't) they are there to support you through it all.
4. Your group of friends is double or tripled.
Having a sister means that you gain all of their friends and that you get to claim them as your own. Friends just show up at your house and they become like additional sisters which just means that you have more people to shop with, binge watch Netflix with, and laugh with.
5. If they are younger than you, they keep you young.
When you have younger sisters, you get to keep your youth a little bit longer. The magic of Christmas, Easter, and the tooth fairy stays alive for that much longer. They allow you to still watch Disney Junior, play with Polly Pockets, or have trampoline water fights. I am eternally grateful for the youth that my sisters have preserved.
6. You always have someone to make you laugh.
I don't know about you, but my sisters are two of the funniest people I know. They make me belly laugh and laugh so hard that water comes out of my nose. Sometimes I don't even know why I'm laughing so hard, but they taught me that life is so much better when you are laughing.
7. Someone is always there to wipe your tears when you cry.
I'm an emotional flower but no matter what, one of my sisters will be there to wipe my tears. Whether I decided to watch the newest Nicholas Sparks movie by myself, if I didn't get enough coffee that day, or if life just got really hard. They will always be there with hugs, tissues, and probably a vat of Nutella to help me feel better.
8. You are never bored because one of sisters will usually be around.
I'm so glad that my parents decided to give me siblings, because without them I would be bored out of my mind. Someone is usually always there to entertain me which is really all I could ask for.
9. You have someone who truly loves you without conditions.
In fact, they know you better than anyone. They always look out for your best interest and will tell you when your parents are mad at you and what you should do to fix it. They are there to help tone down the crazy at family functions, and having two amigos to get through day to day life with is why I adore them so much.
10. They are your soul mate and the best friend you could ever have. Do not take your sisters for granted always show endless love and continue to build your relationship.
Sisters are a constant reminder that even though you come from a long line of lunatics you always have someone by your side to help you get through life's journey. A sister is the best friend you will ever have, after all sisters stick together like fat thighs and I would trade mine for anything.
