Our political system is corrupt by politicians who are bought by corporations. This is a problem because their main focus is about making more money at the expense of others. Bernie Sanders is a presidential candidate for this year's 2016 election who brings this to attention and challenges the 1%. I believe in him because he's the first presidential candidate that speaks for the people and cares about our well-being.
1. He tells us to question our political system instead of blindly obeying it.
2. His campaign isn’t funded by big banks or corporations but by the people.
3. He acknowledges that climate change is real due to reliance on fossil fuels and endorses sustainability.
4. He’s an advocate of racial justice and is vocal on institutionalized racism.
5. He supports Native Americans standard of living and believes that they should be given the right to have sovereign control over their Lands.
6. He is fighting to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour because many Americans work two to three jobs to live.
7. He’s pro-choice and promotes equal pay for women.
8. He’s an ally of the LGBTQ community and votes against policies that try to deprive them of their rights.
9. He introduced a College for All Act that would make public colleges and universities tuitions free.
10. Lastly, he represents people like me, a Latina woman, who want a better future without having financial burdens and discrimination in the workforce.
