Going out on the weekends is what college students look forward to after a long week of 8 a.m. classes and all-nighters in the library. However, no matter how excited you are to go out, things get in the way and you end up going way later than planned. Here are 10 reasons why:
1. You can't get out of bed.
While your friends are yelling at you to get up, your bed has never felt more comfortable in your life, and that three-hour nap you just took has you feeling more tired than ever.
2. You aren't quite ready to see people and be social.
Sometimes not getting ready and just hanging out in your room procrastinating, maybe even watching a little Netflix, is better than going out to see real people.
3. You have to keep redoing your makeup.
Your eye shadow makes you look like you have a black eye, you have lipstick all over your teeth, and your eyelashes are clumped together making you look like a hot mess.
4. You have changed your outfit at least seven times.
While your clothes are hanging in the closet, they look great, but when it's time to put an outfit on, suddenly nothing is good enough.
5. You look in the mirror and realize you should have washed your hair.
Before you started to get ready, you debated if you should shower and wash your hair, but ultimately you decided not to. However, when its time to do your hair, you spend hours trying to make it appear clean.
6. Everyone is fighting for the aux cord.
The perfect playlist is required when getting ready to go out, and time is wasted when everyone is fighting over who gets to be DJ and play their songs.
7. You decided to start eating food instead of getting ready.
Getting ready can be boring and or stressful so sometimes taking a snack break takes priority over everything else.
8. Not being sure if you actually want to go out or not.
You had been so pumped to go out all week, but now every 20 minutes you are debating whether or not you should actually go.
9. Taking too many pictures before you leave.
Getting the perfect Instagram picture is important, so sometimes having a cute and candid photo shoot is super fun until you look at the clock.
10. You have that one friend you are always waiting on.
When everyone is almost completely ready, waiting to leave, you still have to wait on that one friend who is scrambling around to get things done.
Finally, everyone is ready, and late or not, it's time to go out. Whether its dinner or going to a club, as long as you are with your friends, you know it will be a great night.
