Chuck Bass. He was introduced in "Gossip Girl" as a typical, snobby rich boy whose daddy had more money than anyone would know what to do with. Soon, every girl would find themselves falling head-over-heels in love with him and his notable transformation and growth throughout the series. Between ditching the scarf fad he had going on in the first season, cleaning himself up, and proving to us that he is human and does have a heart, Chuck Bass swooned us all. Chuck's scheming personality even made us want to hate him at times, but clearly that wasn't an option. It's a little selfish that creators Josh Shwartz and Stephanie Savage manifested every girl's dream man in a fictional television show, but doing so gave us a guideline as to what we deserve and should be looking for in our soulmates.
1. He's determined.
Sure, sometimes the way he goes about showing it is a little over the top, but once he has his heart and mind set to something, Chuck would do ANYTHING to attain his goal. A smart, passionate and successful business man he is.
2. He's confident.
Chuck and Blair had their fair share of ups, downs and fall outs. He watched her go through countless relationships with other men, even watched her get married to the evil spawn, Louis. He also knew that he wasn't favored among many of his peers and competitors, but that never stopped him from excelling in life. He was never uncertain about what he could do and what his abilities were, and self assurance is one sexy trait.
3. He's protective.
Although we are completely jealous of her and hold a little bit of resentment in our hearts for her, we do owe it to Blair for molding Chuck into the perfect specimen he turned out to be. Blair was his pride and joy, and regardless of the times he let her down and had some moral judgment slip ups, he would never intentionally let anyone, including himself, harm Blair.
4. He knows what we need, when we need it.
Sure, he would think that buying expensive gifts and boatloads of flowers would automatically solve any hole he found himself buried in, but he did do a great job at treating Blair like a queen. There is more to life than macaroons, fancy dresses and necklaces, but what girl doesn't enjoy receiving things here and there that show her that man is thinking of and appreciating her?
5. He goes out of his comfort zone for her.
We all waited until the end of season two to finally hear it, and when he said it boy did he move mountains. His biggest fear was to let Blair in, to admit that he was in love with her, because love wasn't an emotion that anyone thought Chuck was capable of. She deserved to hear those three words, eight letters from him, and he knew that too.
6. He cherishes Blair.
Once you get past the tough guy, hard exterior he has been portraying himself as, you understand how Chuck does have a heart, and how big it really is. He doesn't care about much in his life besides money and scheming, but Blair is right up there on his list. He cherishes her for her flaws and all and acknowledges her strengths even when she doesn't see them.
7. He does anything to make sure you're happy.
He voted for Blair... 150 TIMES. Yep, we all cried tears of happiness and joy at their prom like we were all there. So many times throughout the progression of the series, he would put Blair's happiness so far ahead of his own, no matter what the circumstance. His end all, be all was to make sure Blair had a smile on her face regardless of if anyone else agreed with him. No one mattered but her.
8. He fought for the one he loved.
He showed up in front of Blair on her wedding day, minutes before she was bound to walk down the aisle to marry the devil himself (AKA Louis). He fought for her then, and countless other times. Not only would he fight for her, but he would prove to her why he felt that way. He knew that the two of them were meant to be together, and despite the handful of times he got pushed down, he never stopped fighting. He never stopped loving her.
9. He loves Blair unconditionally.
He watched her go from relationship to relationship right before his eyes, and he supported her even through that. We all know those exes that bad mouth us the second we go our separate ways. Sure, he'd do some sketchy and questionable things when they were broken up, but he always had her best interest at heart. He wouldn't let anyone treat her less than she deserved.
10. He gives her the credit she deserves.
He acknowledges the fact that he would probably be dead without her. She has brought him out of downwards spirals, nursed him to health, even prayed to God to keep him alive after their horrific car accident that left him clinging on for dear life. He wouldn't be the charismatic, witty, romantic man he is today without her. He went through an entire metamorphosis in six seasons from a sarcastic douche to the man of our dreams.
