10 Reasons Why You Should Love Pizza

Pizza is not just my favorite food, it is so much more than that. I could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For every meal for the rest of my life. I liked pizza before pizza was "basic."

These are ten reasons why you should love pizza as much as I do:

1. There are so many different types

You can get thin crust, Chicago style, meat lovers, vegetarian or classic cheese. There are so many different types that it's impossible to ever get sick of it.

2. It fulfills your carbs craving.

After a late night of going out, there is nothing you crave more than some nice, heavy carbs. Pizza is the perfect answer.

3. It can be a snack or a meal.

If you aren't feeling a big dinner, just pick up a slice as a quick, fulfilling snack. Mesa Pizza is my favorite pizza-by-the-slice destination.

4. It is good when either hot or cold.

You're lying if you say that pizza for breakfast the next day isn't as good as pizza the night before for dinner. It can be eaten cold or hot and at any time of the day. It's basically the only universal food out there.

5. It's a brilliant combo.

Bread, sauce, cheese and all of your favorite things on top? What a dynamic combination.

6. It is a social food ...

Pizza truly does bring people together. Nothing is better then ordering a couple pizzas with a group of friends while sitting around chatting and having a casual night in.

7. ... and a comfort food.

It's also a great food to have surrounding you in your bed after a bad night, when you just want to shut off your phone and fill your face.

8. It's available without having to leave your couch.

All you need to do is call it in and it will be at your door waiting for you thirty minutes later. Pizza never ignores your calls.

9. There's no bad kind.

Even frozen pizzas deserve some kind of frozen food award. There aren't any bad types or brands of pizza, it's all delicious. Which leads me to my last point ...

10. It's delicious.

Every bite is a tiny piece of heaven in your mouth.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
