Mother's Day yesterday probably served as a great reminder to you; a reminder that your mom is the bomb. Seriously, moms are such amazing women. None of us would be here without them, and they've done so much to shape us into the people we are today. Here are 10 reasons why moms rock:
1. They're selfless
Moms are always putting others (especially their children) before themselves. They generously give us their time, effort, and love, without grumbling or complaining. Moms would do anything to make sure we're happy, healthy, and comfortable. I think that makes for a pretty selfless person!
2. They're kind
Friends can be catty, teachers can be strict, and boys can be hurtful, but moms are always gentle and kind with us when we need it the most. When we're having a bad day, we can go to them for comfort or words of encouragement, no matter what.
3. They don't judge
Our moms have seen us at our very worst. They don't care if we aren't wearing makeup, haven't showered for two days, or have on an outfit that's considered a fashion disaster. Whether we're feeling sad or acting silly, we can express ourselves without our moms making us feel bad about it.
4. They're fashionable
Make fun of mom jeans all you want, but you know your mom is fashionable. She's your go-to girl for fashion advice, your trusty shopping buddy, and probably has a few fashionable pieces of her own that you might want to steal....
5. They're hilarious
Whether they're trying to learn our teenage lingo or cracking a witty joke, mom's have great senses of humor. They can make you laugh with the wacky things they say and leave your sides splitting for days.
6. They're patient
We test their patience a lot, but mom's don't give up on us. They know that we're difficult and indecisive sometimes, but they deal with us anyways, because they know that we aren't always annoying.
7. They're trustworthy.
Moms will take your secrets to the grave. You can confide in them about your problems and insecurities, and you know they'll respect your privacy. Sure, everyone can be a blabbermouth at times, but you know you can count on your mom when it comes down to it.
8. They're honest
Mom's can be brutally honest sometimes. We don't always want to hear what they have to say (because let's be honest, the truth is hard to hear sometimes), but they tell it to us straight for our own good. Moms will always be honest and open with their children.
9. They're stable
You can always depend on your mom when you need her. A good mom makes sure her children never wonder where she is and why she isn't there for them. Moms make sure that they're present, and are stable and steady for us.
10. They love us
Through our angsty teen phases, tantrums, stubbornness, and flaws, mom's love us no matter what. A mother's love for her child is unconditional, and she always makes sure we know it.
