10 Reasons Why It's Good to Have Guy Friends

1. Two Words: NO DRAMA.

There is no denying that girls are known for their drama, some more than others. Well, with guy friends, there is no need to worry about that! They could care less about what others think of them or whatever it is that possess girls to talk behind each others backs.

2. They Won't Beat Around the Bush.

Guys won't tip toe around your feelings; they tell it like it is. They speak the truth and state their opinions no matter how offensive it may be. But it is better knowing the truth anyway, right?

3. They Make It Easy To Be Yourself.

Since guys are more likely to be themselves around other people, it helps you to be more open too. Girls tend to be better versions of themselves to make others like them, especially when meeting for the first time. For guys, that is not really how they do things, unless they are in a job interview or meeting their girlfriend's parents for the first time.

4. Their Sense of Humor Never Fails to Make You Laugh After a Long Day.

This is probably the most accurate of all. And of course, laughter is the best cure to anything and instantly makes you feel 1000 times better. There is no doubt that guys are much better in the humor department, usually because they have no problem making fun of themselves and others.

5. You Can Be as Lazy as You Want.

Most of us know how lazy some guys can be, and some of us girls can be too. So if all you want to do is  kickback and watch TV all Sunday long, your guy friends will definitely be at your side.

6. They Are Less Likely to Pressure You Into Things.

The reason girls pressure other girls into doing things is because they do not want to do it alone. Then we feel more pressured because if we don't do it, then we look like a bad friend. If a guy pressures you to do something, he just wants to see if you can actually do it. However, guys are more likely to pressure their other guy friends with the hopes that he will fail miserably and have something to laugh about later

7. They Always Have Your Back.

No matter how many dumb drunken decisions you make, your guy friends will still support you and sometimes take care of you. They also wont judge you for it. Yeah, they might make fun of you the next day, but it does not change how they see you as a person

8. There is Never a Dull Moment.

You can always count on your guy friends to go on adventures with. Even if they have a midterm the next day or an assignment due at midnight, adventure is their middle name. They can also be pretty good at coming up with new games and activities to do on the spot that actually end up being pretty fun.

9. You Learn More About Sports.

They help you to start understanding the fundamentals behind certain sports. Like I bet before, you did not know what a "pick 6" was in football, but now you do. Not only are you understanding fundamentals but knowing what city teams are from, players' names, and maybe even some of their stats.

10. They Help You to Realize What Truly Matters.

A true friendship. You no longer care about becoming friends with every person you meet. What is important is having friendships where being yourself comes easy. So if you are lucky enough to have good guy friends, hold onto those relationships and for god's sake MARRY ONE!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
