I’m definitely a self-proclaimed concert junkie, and I know I’m not the only one out there. One of my most favorites places on earth isn't an exact place, but type of environment. At a concert venue, with tons of other strangers, where you cant tell whose sweat is whose, but it doesn’t matter because each of you are there having the time of your lives. Though you already may know why, I am here to explain it for those who probably haven't realized exactly why concerts are so good for you.
1. The kick drum, the kick drum, the kick drum

Most of the concerts I have attended were for a band, which meant there was definitely drumming involved. It's what actually helps you soak in what you're about to experience altogether. When the lights dim and the kick drum begins, goosebumps inevitably shoot up my whole body, every single time. There is something so satisfying about feeling a kick drum in your chest, and the fact that everyone at the venue feels it, too, is amazing.
2. Hearing your favorite artists live is a heck of a lot more fun

3. You're allowed to lose yourself in a sea of people

Whether you like crowded places or not, that seems to not matter when you're at a live show. The music takes each and every person away and you're allowed to jam out in the coolest of atmospheres. Think someone is judging you? Who cares!! If you're having a blast that is all all that matters.
4. Live music, duh.

5. You reach a whole new level of happiness
The ability to finally see one of your favorite artists in the person is one of the coolest things on the planet. Hearing them live is even better. From screaming their lyrics at the top of your lungs, to dancing the whole night away; it seems like there is no better feeling in the world than when you're there. After the show, you stand around to meet the band and when they're even nicer than you expected, it makes you want to pat yourself on the back (you then secretly credit yourself like, yes, I pick em' good), and it makes that experience even better. You are so, so, so happy, and nothing else matters.
6. Burnin' calories, man.

From walking to and from the parking lot to the venue or vice-versa, how much you jump up and down in the crowd, to the sardine dancing; the calories burned tend to stack up.
7. You have the ability to escape your problems, even if it's just for a little while

Regardless of what is going on back at home or with anything stressful going on in ones life, I can promise you that none of that ever matters when you're in that venue, even if its just for three hours. It's a great escape.
8. Meet new people, who could possibly become your new friends

Though it may not seem like you have anything in common with those people in the room, there is actually so much you already have in common just being there. The music connects all of you, and that within itself says enough. Through the countless number of shows I've been to, I've met some pretty cool people, whether is a twitter friend I see by a merch table, or just standing by girls who are there for the same opening act that you're there for, too. It’s an awesome connection and possibly a spark that begins a new friendship.
9. Countless memories are made

The amount of memories that are made at concerts are incredible. You get to look back and remember these great times in your life, and I promise you, it is so satisfying.
10. Regardless of the negatives to the show, you're still having the best time

From beer being spilled on you, having someone who seems to be a character from Avatar right in front of you blocking your view, to getting kicked in the head by crowd surfers, to the awful odors you were unaware humans could produce from their bodies (you know exactly what I’m talking about). That all doesn’t seem to phase you or come near to how much fun you're having, overall.
