10 Reasons Why Chad Is The Best 'Bachelorette' "Villain" Ever

I don’t think that I will ever love a show as much as "The Bachelorette." You may think that someone would have to be a complete idiot to be so passionate about a predictable, contrived show that documents a woman’s journey to “finding love” with one out of a group of 30 guys whose occupations range from “Canadian” to “Erectile Dysfunction Specialist.” However, the good news is that I don’t care. Many years ago, I may have thought the same thing about "Bachelorette" fans, but for reasons that I don’t quite understand, it’s the one show that I’m truly excited for every single week. I have watched for years the plots center around a “villain” whom the Bachelorette, despite receiving warnings from other contestants about his questionable behavior, keeps around for a few weeks until she sends him packing. Most of these villains get under the viewer’s skin and are just plain disgusting, like season seven’s Bentley, who referred to Ashley as an “ugly duckling” behind her back, or season eight’s Kalon, who referred to Emily’s daughter as “baggage.” This season, however, viewers were blessed with a villain whom I would consider the best in "Bachelorette" history and who saved this season from being a complete snooze fest.

Chad Johnson, a “luxury real estate agent” from Oklahoma, wasted no time getting under everyone’s skin, but not because he trash talked JoJo or bragged about having a girlfriend back home. While he definitely is arrogant and conceited, he also is weird, hilarious, and seemingly a little bit misunderstood by the rest of the guys, who constantly pushed his buttons. His exit was nothing short of iconic, yet was bittersweet with the knowledge that we have to watch the rest of the season without his presence. From start to finish, his appearance was a wild ride and made me laugh out loud throughout every episode. These are just a few of his best moments.

1. Whenever he clearly knew the camera was watching his facial expressions.

2. Every time he said what we were all thinking…

3. Or said something to make a girl's heart melt.

4. When he casually ate a whole sweet potato mid-conversation…

5. And about 10 pounds of deli meat throughout a cocktail party.

6. He even ate it during the Rose Ceremony.

7. He managed to sum up the entire cast in one brief sentence.

8. He doled out some sound dating advice.

9. After a trek through the pitch-black forest while whistling like a psychopath, he made his way back to the cabin where the rest of the guys were celebrating his elimination. The noise he made dragging his fingers across the window was straight out of a horror movie and had me in literal tears from laughing so hard.

10. Last but not least, his exit was incredible. Thank you for the laughs, and see you on "Bachelor in Paradise," Chad!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
