I mean, boys are cool and all, but they're also pretty annoying. Yeah, they're cute and you have someone to cuddle with and blah, blah, blah, but that's why I have pillows and lots of them. I feel like society these days look down on those who don't have a lot of dating and/or relationship experience. What's up with that? It doesn't mean we aren't attractive or good people. It doesn't mean there's something wrong with us. It means we aren't as concerned about having a boyfriend/girlfriend. Being single has a lot of advantages.
1. Your life is a little less crazy without having to try to plan dates or when you'll see each other.
Balancing work, family, friends and everything in between can be hectic enough without throwing in someone else's schedule to pay attention to.
2. On the flip side, you can go on as many dates with as many different people as you want.
You're single and can do what you want and you deserve to find what you do and don't like.
3. The only person you have to worry about treating right is yourself.
I'm constantly hearing stories of cheaters or other heartbreaking relationship mishaps. No relationship? No problem!
4. You probably save money.
You don't have to pay for dates, extra food, extra hygiene products, etc., because it's only you who you're buying for.
5. You become independent.
You learn how to do things alone, like going to restaurants or movies. Sure, you always have your friends, but sometimes no one is available.
6. You can continue to hog the entire bed.
A personal favorite. You don't have a his side, her side (or his side/his side|her side/her side). You can spread out and make yourself as comfortable as you want.
7. You can focus on your career and your plan for the future.
You can move for a promotion in your job and not worry about whether your S.O. is cool with it.
8. You can be messy/not have to clean up after someone else.
Those dishes in the sink? All yours and you can get to them when you feel like it. You can put your energy towards other things, not just cleaning up.
9. You don't have to share food.
Another personal favorite. Your grocery list is your own and you don't have to share all your favorite snacks as you binge on Netflix.
10. Freedom in general.
You have nobody watching keeping tabs on your social media or what you're wearing--not that your S.O. should care in the first place.
