Looks like the long, hot days of summer are almost over! It's just about time to pack away the tank tops and shorts in favor of sweatshirts and pants. But hey, don't despair! Fall has its perks as well. You'll be cozied up in bed with hot cocoa before you know it.

1. The Activities: Apple picking, hayrides, and pumpkin carving galore! Can't you already picture yourself out on a romantic walk during the fall evening? Or even just relaxing indoors, marathoning movies with friends?

2. The Fashion: A new season means a change in style. Time to break out your over-sized sweaters, boots, and dark lipstick. If you're feeling Gothic, fall is the perfect season of inspiration!

3. The Treats: And no, I'm not just talking Halloween here, folks. Fresh pies, pumpkin bread, and tons of other sugary desserts. Yum!

4. The Scenery: Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons. Go out and enjoy the changing colors before winter comes!

5. The Weather: Why be pessimistic about our chilly future? Hunkering down in blankets while you watch the cloudy sky from your room doesn't sound so bad. At least our days of constant sweating are over! Plus, all of the curly haired people can finally venture out of their dens. No more humidity, thank the Lord!

6. The Scents: Crisp leaves, the smell of rain, pumpkins...doesn't it already make you want to swoon?

7. The Spooks: Time for horror movies and scary costumes! Whether it's 6 Flag's Fright Fest, haunted houses, or dressing up in zombified costumes, you're guaranteed to get your heart pumping this fall.

8. The Cuddles: Whether it's from your pet or your significant other, fall is the perfect recipe for cuddling. Finally, you can stay under the covers without being too hot!

9. The Holidays: Christmas might be a ways off, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving. This is the season to get together with your family and appreciate each other.

10. The Return of Your Favorite TV Shows: Say hello to new episodes of whatever your latest obsession is! Better put down that homework and turn on something good so you can procrastinate even more.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
