Running a race in Disney World is SUCH a magical experience. I come from a running-obsessed AND Disney World-obsessed family... so, I can't think of a better duo for me! It's a perfect race for first-timers and Disney works really hard to make it as enjoyable and fun as possible. Trust me, it's an incredible experience! Here are 13.1 reasons why you should do it! 😉

1. There are DOZENS of Disney characters at different points during the race, and you are more than welcome to take a picture with them!

2. You can run in a tutu and crown like the #queen you were meant to me.

3. There’re a firework show when you start the race!

4. You’ll be done with the race by 7 or 8 am and will still have an ENTIRE day to explore the parks!!!

I WAS 14 IN THIS PICTURE and had to wake up at 2:30 am, NO JUDGEMENT PLEASE. LOL

5. Everyone running is happy to be there. And probably wearing a costume.

This isn't a race where you'll find many grumpy or negative peeps. How could you be when you're running through Disney World??? Chances are the people running with you will be supportive, positive, and share your love Disney and it's magic!

6. You get to run through Cinderella’s CASTLE.

I definitely teared up a little. I mean, cmon. What other half marathon could compare to that?!

7. There are hundreds of volunteers and spectators throughout the course, excited to cheer for you and give you a high five!

8. You run through the parks (Magic Kingdom & Epcot) BEFORE they open and it’s AMAZING to see the parks practically empty.

I ran through the Magic Kingdom when the sun was just starting to rise and it was stunning!

9. It gives you the perfect excuse to plan a trip to Disney World.

Knowing that you're signed up and going to WDW is also DEFINITE training motivation!

10. After the race, you have even more reasons to enjoy all the delicious Disney park foods!!!

(i.e. Mickey waffles!)

11. It’s not intimidating.

Thousands of people, runners and walkers, complete Disney race. It’s meant to be a MAGICAL experience!

12. You get an awesome medal and can show it off during the rest of your trip (people in the parks will congratulate you if they see you wearing it… it makes you feel famous!)

13.1. It's an impressive accomplishment that you'll remember forever... and definitely want to do again!

Do you think this article will convince my parents to let me sign up for another Disney race?!?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
