10 Reasons Sailor Moon Is A Gamma Phi Beta
"Fighting evil by moonlight,
Winning love by daylight,
Never running from a real fight!
She is the one named Sailor Moon!
She will never turn her back on a friend.
She is always there to defend.
She is the one on whom we depend.
She is the one named Sailor..."

So, if you were a young girl in the '90s, chances are you watched "Sailor Moon"! This adorable little ball of badass girl is exactly who I wanted to grow up to be when I was small. I mean, come on, she is bubbly, kind, daring, sure of herself, and she's a freakin' superhero! Plus, she has a handsome and mysterious man who is in love with her. *Swoon.* What a life...

Well, I couldn't grow up to be Sailor Moon, but I did become the next best thing...her sister because, let's be serious, Sailor Moon is a Gamma Phi Beta!

1. Her symbol is a crescent moon.

Everyone knows that the crescent moon is Gamma Phi Beta's symbol, and every Gamma Phi knows how much it means to her. It obviously means a lot to Sailor Moon, too. It's everywhere, even before she knew she was a Sailor Scout...

2. She never turns her back. She is a true and constant friend.

She constantly fights to protect those around her. She is non-judgmental, accepting and kind, even as an everyday person.

3. She is all about "Building Strong Girls."

GIRL POWER. Our philanthropy "Building Strong Girls" is all about the empowerment of young girls in order for them to grow up to achieve whatever they wish to do. If "Sailor Moon" doesn't stand for all that, I don't know what does.

4. She stands up for what she believes in.

She never runs from a real fight. When the going gets tough, a Gamma Phi gets going!

5. She has a kickass band of sisters behind her at all times.

The Sailor Scouts are all Gamma Phis, too, and they work together to achieve the same goal: justice.

6. Love.

Love for her mysterious Tuxedo Mask. Love for her sisters. Love for her home. Love for her family. Love for herself.

7. Labor.

She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty and work hard for what she believes in.

8. Learning.

She is a student before anything!

9. Loyalty.

She always follows through and never gives up on her loved ones. Especially her little Chibi Moon.

10. And she fine as hell, too... You go, Sailor Moon, you go.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
