Moving out is hands down one of the most stressful and frustrating things you can go through as an adult. But moving out when you're a college student who is a barely functioning adult. Around this time of the year, the college student dreads two things more than anything: moving out and finals.
1. First of all, finding a place is hard enough.
Finding a place that all your roommates can agree on is close to impossible.
2. Automatically knowing and accepting the fact that you are going to lose things.
But we all know tears will be shed.
3. Finding furniture and/or someone to help move furniture is impossible.
I'll just use pillows for a bed, no big deal, it's fine.
4. Organizing. Organizing everything.
I can barely organize my desk, there is no way I can organize these boxes.
5. Why is moving out so expensive?
The cost of a moving van, gas, boxes and not to mention your new home.
6. Trying to fit everything into your car is a more dangerous version of tetris.
Packing 16 boxes in a corolla is not really ideal.
7. Knowing that there's a good chance that your plates, glasses and bowls will break.
Which in turn is going to cause me to eat cereal out of my hands.
8. Moving out just so happens to be conveniently placed during finals week.
Because studying for the most important week in your existence isn't stressful enough.
9. Realizing that you have to move all of the things you just packed into a new place.
And if you don't live on the first floor, you are basically screwed.
10. The worst of it all is when you realize you have to unpack everything.
The fact that you had to pack everything and then have to unpack is a real life hell.
