Growing up curvier than all of my friends was depressing sometimes. I always thought I was sort of fat, or not as pretty as the skinnier girls. Even though my friends and family all told me that I was beautiful regardless, it always felt like a burden to have a few extra pounds. Within the past couple years, I've managed to shake off that burden and love my body. It used to be daunting seeing the skinny women posted up all over the internet, like when people talk about the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but now all I see are women, just like me, expressing their bodies in their own way. For curvy girls, I'd like to inform you that this is how I express mine.

1. Being able to say it's all muscle.

2. Dancing in the mirror to JT's "SexyBack" because it's so true you just have to.

3. You'll always have enough baby or talc powder.

4. Telling people you were the inspiration to "Baby Got Back."

5. Knowing you fill your yoga pants beautifully.

6. Seeing a curvy model in a lingerie magazine.

7. That moment of pride when you can stop yourself from eating the whole pan of brownies.

8. People telling you that you give the best hugs.

9. People asking if you're wearing a push-up bra and you're just like...haha nope

10. When you finally realize, despite society's view of what a beautiful woman looks like, that you're the sexiest person you know.

If there's nobody telling you that you're totally a sexy babe, well I'm here to tell you that you're a stunner. You want another cookie? Eat it. You want to wear a yellow polka-dot bikini? Wear it. Want to show off your perfectly beautiful curves to the world? Do it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
