10 Reasons Why a Guy Best Friend is the Best

We all have different opinions about our different friends. Personally, I believe that as a girl, the best best friend I could have is a guy. I wouldn't trade my friendship with him for anything, even though I constantly get asked if we are a couple, and we definitely aren't. Sure, there's plenty of reasons why girlfriends are great, but here are ten that prove guy best friends are the best best friends.

1. They buy you food. Maybe this isn't true for everyone, but my best friend always buys me food, and really, what more could I want.

2. I always have a date. Sometimes people fall through, but thankfully I always have one guy who will be around to be my plus one.

3. Fake boyfriend, no problem. Please don't lie and tell me you've never gotten someone to act like your boyfriend for whatever reason. My best friend always comes through when I need him to.

4. They tell you how it is. Some girls do that weird thing where they lie about everything. Thankfully, that's not how guys are. If I look like trash my guy best friend is going to tell me.

5. They know the bad guys. Guys know guys just like girls know girls. If a guy is not right for me, my best friend is going to know before I do, and he's going to make sure I avoid that guy at all costs. For example, one time, I didn't listen, and not even a week later I was crying over a boy who I should have never talked to in the first place.

6. Compliments. Being a girl and being complimented by a guy other than my dad is honestly the best, so thankfully my best friend is a guy and always around to compliment me because in all no other boys pay enough attention to.

7. I never have to drive. This is mainly because I am a terrible driver, but I hate driving and he drives everywhere.

8. T-shirts. Guy t-shirts are just better, okay.

9. Hugs. Just like the t-shirt thing, guy hugs are, in fact, better.

10. Extra love!!! Honestly, all of your friends are going to love you, and they should, but a guy best friend will love you an extra amount. They get that life is rough, and they get that boys suck, so they're going to give you all the love you need to really help you get through life.
