Even if you don't love football, you love football when it comes to the Dillon Panthers. If you haven't indulged yourself yet by watching this show- don't worry, it's on Netflix.
10. During each 42 minute episode, you will find yourself wanting nothing more than a victory for the Panthers. If they win, you win. "Foobaw" and Texas may not be your thing (I didn't think they were mine), but give it a shot. I promise you won't regret it.
9. You will learn more from Coach Taylor than you ever learned from any high school teacher. That man is so full of wisdom, it almost hurts.
8. Tami Taylor is probably the most bad-ass coach / mom / wife / guidance counselor that has ever fictionally existed. Goals...
7. When Jason Street cries, we all cry. He was only the star for about half an episode and while Jason definitely got on our nerves a bit throughout the show, 6 will always be a character near and dear to us. Not to mention how much Tim Riggins loves him- how could we not?
6. The relationships are ones to strive for- I mean, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, Julie and Saracen, Riggins and Lyla, the list goes on. You’ll sit there setting your expectations high (which is a good thing, trust me) and wishing you lived in Dillon Texas.
5. Buddy Garrity - the definition of a dynamic character. We hate him, we love him, but in the end what would the show be without him?
4. It will make you miss high school, under false premises that your town was anything like Dillon. Friday night football games probably came nothing close to this show, but looking back on high school fondly is not a bad thing.
3. The development of Matt Saracen gives us hope for every awkward boy to ever live. He went from goon to stud (still goony, but in the best way), and we were always rooting for him.
2. Tim Riggins. This should require no explanation. He started off as a drunk bum and ended up as my favorite character in tv show history.
1. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose. Have you ever heard something catchier?
