In recent years, the world of show business has been exposed to a phenomenon known as "The Chrises." Pine, Pratt, Hemsworth, and Evans, to be exact. I was recently asked the question that has stumped me so many times before: "If you had to pick a Chris, which one would you choose?" After hemming and hawing about Hemsworth and Pratt for a while, I finally settled on which Chris I prefer:
I, ladies and gentlemen, am a Pine-Nut. And I am about to present you with ten reasons for this declaration.
1. "The Finest Hours": Bernie Webber
Not my favorite of his movies, but I really enjoy this character. Therefore, I actually cried. Twice.
2. "This Means War": FDR Foster
I freaking love this dude.
3. "Rise of the Guardians": Jack Frost
Okay, I want to see a live-action version of this film. Mainly, because I want Hugh Jackman to dress up like a rabbit. But also because Chris Pine.
4. "Into the Woods": Cinderella's Prince
Perfect. That is all.
5. "Star Trek": James T. Kirk
Wait, I actually LIKE Kirk this time? (I say, conveniently forgetting I watched these BEFORE I watched The Original Series. My point still stands.)
6. "Star Trek Into Darkness": James T. Kirk
Why do the "Star Treks" get different points here? BECAUSE I LOVE HIM EVEN MORE IN THIS ONE!
7. "The Princess Diaries 2": Nicholas Devereaux
Am I the only girl who watched this as a kid, grew up, loved Chris Pine, came back and watched this movie and started screaming because she had no idea?
8. "Star Trek Beyond": James T. Kirk
Okay, so "Beyond" doesn't QUITE score top level for me. (I know, those of you who read me regularly are shocked out of your minds.) But still, I like him best in this of all the "Star Trek" movies. Also cried. Like, three times.
Actually, I just like "Star Trek". Enough said.
9. "Wonder Woman": Steve Trevor
Did anybody else not know this scene was improved? I love Steve Trevor. I love Chris Pine AS Steve Trevor.
10. Chris Pine. For real.
Do I really need another reason?
