10 Reasons Boston Girls Are The Best Girls
Boston

They say "You can take the girl out of Boston, but you can't take the Boston out of the girl." And since I started going to college out of state I have realized just how true this is. We stand out from the crowd in the best possible way, and we always know how to be the center of attention. There really isn't any other type of girl that you can quite compare to us Boston beauties and there is not even a question that us Boston girls really are the best girls out there. Here are the reasons why.

1. We don't take people's crap.

Us Boston girls are known for our attitude. Some people may call us "MASSholes" and don't think we take that name as an insult. To us, it's the biggest compliment there is.

2. We are loud.

You can always pick the Boston girl out in the crowd. We are the ones being the loudest, having the most fun, and being the center of attention.

3. We always bring the party.

We party HARD. It is taught to us at a young age that everything from sporting events, to feasts, to blizzards deserve a party, so when we enter the rest of the world, there is no denying that we are the most fun.

4. We're proud.

There is so much history in Boston. Our city started it all and we love it. How could we not brag about how proud we are to be from such an amazingly beautiful city.

5. We can handle anything.

Us Boston girls are always the ones to know what to do. We have been through it all and always come out on top. There is not a thing that we can't handle and overcome thanks to the strength that we get from our city.

6. We don't need to be taken care of.

We are independent. Sure it is nice to be pampered by someone special once in awhile, but don't think that we need to. We love being in charge and taking care of ourselves, so don't you dare get in our way.

7. We don't watch our mouths.

This is something we learned from our mamas and all the strong boston ladies. We don't give a ____ what comes out of our mouths. We say what's on our mind and want to be heard.

8. We are easily lovable.

With all that being said it is obvious that we are the most loveable type of girls out there. We are the ones that everyone loves and everyone loves to love us.

9. We're wicked smart.

No, it's not a stereotype. It's a fact. Look it up.

10. We are boston strong.

We are united. Our city is our true love and there is nothing in the world that we love more than Boston. Oh Boston, you're my home.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
