Ever since I came into this world 18 years ago, I have been surrounded by a group of crazy, outspoken individuals who have made my life one filled with ridiculous jokes and times so fun it should be a crime. From my first steps to my last dance recital, they've been by my side through it all and, even though we're constantly growing in size, I appreciate each and every one of them. Here are a few reasons why having a big family is a huge blessing!
1. Life is never, ever boring.
Your family is the ultimate entertainment. Whether you’re playing an intense, 11 person game of spoons or taking over an entire restaurant at 10:00 at night, they’ll always keep you on your toes.
2. You have an endless support system.
Even if your accomplishments are small, your family will never cease to give you the love and encouragement you need.
3. Family vacations are the highlight of your year.
Spending an entire week with your favorite people definitely has its perks.
4. Holidays are pretty cool too.
Pretty much every holiday, from Christmas to Easter, is a huge deal, and you wouldn’t have it any other way!
5. You always have the best parties because your fam is so used to planning them.
There’s basically a wedding every other year, so your birthday parties are always popping.
6. Every picture you have together is truly priceless.
Trying to shove all 40 of you into one frame has always been difficult, but when it works out, it’s truly a sight to see.
7. The countless phone calls on your birthday.
The phone is pretty much ringing off the hook all day and it never fails to remind you how loved you are.
8. Receiving garbage bag upon garbage bag full of hand me downs at every family event.
You know you’ll be getting a new wardrobe this Christmas and you couldn’t be more excited about it.
9. Every time you’re together, you never fail to have a good time.
Whether you’re on a tropical island or simply having dinner at your aunt’s house, a good time is always waiting for you around the corner.
10. You ALWAYS have a home no matter where you are.
No matter what kind of situation you are in, there will always, always be a home waiting for you when you return.
11. The memories will last a lifetime and there are definitely more to come.
The future looks bright for you and your enormous family. There will most likely be more laughs, more giant family dinners, and more love and appreciation than you could ever imagine. :)
