Some quotes can be really cliché, I admit. Despite the cheesiness, a lot of them can be very true. Here is a list of my favorite quotes that speak to me and make me feel a certain way about myself, others around me and how to live life.

This one is one of my favorites. I always tell myself this because your mind is a powerful thing. It decides how your day goes, what your relationships are like and how you feel about yourself. How you decide to perceive life has a huge impact on how you experience it.
2. “Not everyone you lose is a loss.” — Unknown
It’s good to remember that not everyone who walks out of your life is a huge loss. Sometimes you have to watch someone walk away and simply remember they didn’t deserve you anyway.
3. “No one can hate you with more intensity than someone who used to love you.“ — "Blood of Olympus"
This quote always reminds me that the power of love overcomes the power of hate. Remember that there are always people in your life that love and cherish you.

Do not be afraid to take risks. Many people are scared to hurt, and, because of this, miss out on a lot of great things. Don't hesitate to chase what you want.

This quote always reminds me to put myself first sometimes. Being kind is important, but you can't lose yourself in the process of trying hard for everyone else. Do things for others, but do not expect a lot when you do nice things for others.

This one didn’t change the way I live, but I thought it was pretty funny and relevant. Aren’t group projects the best? I think we have all been there.

You are the only person you need. Try not to find positivity and love in another person when you can provide those things for yourself. There is no one who knows you better than you, and no one who has the same exact qualities as you.

Sometimes you have to let go of things from your past to discover even better things in your future. Don't be afraid to let go, because there are always better things ahead of you.

As cheesy as it is to say, you are always in control of your own happiness. Don't be afraid to leave a job, person or lifestyle to make yourself happier. At the end of the day, your happiness comes first.

This one is super important. You have a lot of value. Don't settle for someone who doesn't see the best in you, and pick the person who chooses to stay once they've seen the worst.
