As our spring breaks tragically come to an end, it is inevitable that we begin to slightly panic at the thought of returning to the "real world." Let's face it- no one is thinking about deadlines or assignments while they are laying on the beach, but when Sunday rolls around, reality hits us all pretty hard. When that final day of freedom arrives, here is a list 10 panic-stricken thoughts that all of us are bound to have.
1. Wait... I spent how much money??
My bank account is crying. I am crying. My new bathing suits are really cute though.
2. Oh no, I haven't spoken to my parents in a week, they probably think I am dead.
3. Dear God, I have two tests and a paper due at the end of this week and I can't even remember what classes I am in.
I forgot to pack my textbook, and after a week of relaxation, my anxiety is now at an all-time high. ~thriving~
4. I have to set an alarm again, no more sleeping until noon.
This is seriously heart-breaking, but unfortunately, I have already used all of my excused absences for the semester so sleeping in is not an option.
5. I shouldn't have packed so much for Spring Break, I will be doing laundry for years.
At the time it felt necessary to throw my whole closet into a suitcase, but now I don't know what's dirty and what's not so it's all getting washed.
6. How does this week feel so short when finals week feels like it lasts an eternity?
Honestly, though, I refuse to believe that this was a full 7 days. Maybe finals week will surprise us all this year and be just as short?
7. The sun has drained me of all of my scholarly motivation.
The thought of picking up a textbook genuinely makes me want to die.
8. This is going to be a long drive back to campus.
The drive to the beach seemed pretty short because I was excited, but this drive back seems ENDLESS.
9. How long until summer break??
I am now in summer mode, you can wake me up after the semester ends.
10. Spring Break 2018 you will be greatly missed.
I love you and miss you already. I will always remember you fondly.
