I am free. I got through finals week, and I feel mostly relieved. However, I'm not entirely sure if the anxieties associated with the semester ever completely dissipate. After a few days of reflection, I have noticed a string of thoughts that has kept me from feeling completely relaxed in summer-mode. Hopefully, this dump of thoughts and emotions doesn't bum you out for summer (sorry in advance).
1. I feel so relieved. I am finally free for the summer.
2. Do I have anything else to do? Did I turn everything in?
3. What if I failed all of my finals? What kind of options do I have if I drop out?
4. *ceremoniously deletes everything from classes*
5. I have no motivation for anything. Naps have become everything.
6. I need to start working a lot more while I can over the summer.
7. I really don't want to check my final grades. Let me have a few days of peace, please.
8. At least I finished. I can say that much.
9. I hope I never have to make small talk with those professors on campus.
10. Summer classes start in a few days.
Congratulations if you made it through this semester. I hope you have a relaxing summer and get to see plenty of dogs.
