10 Places That You May Just Have Wanderlust For This Summer

Summer is right around the corner. For a lot of us, that means a little more freedom and a little more desire to fit in all that we can into the short time that we are given. The first few weeks of summer pass by so quickly that we somehow find ourselves caught up in the business of summer jobs, events, and just relaxing for no reason.

If you're like me, nothing beats the freedom to sit back, relax, and just enjoy the break from the stress and business that embodies the typical college lifestyle. Despite creating unforgettable memories with my friends and family, some unexpected and some not, I still find myself having some regrets as the summer ends.

As the end of each summer nears, I find myself dreaming of when I will finally turn those regrets into reality. I regret not doing the things that I always put off, taking the risks that I first turned down, and traveling to the places that I desire to go to.

So, for all of you who wish to not put things off this summer, take the risks that you once thought weren't worth it, and desire to go to places that you've only ever heard about or seen pictures of, this is your summer. It may be your year. Do all that you can to go where you can. Fulfill your wanderlust.

In hope to inspire you even more, here is a list of 10 places that you may just want to pack your bags for and buy the next flight out to.

1. Rocky Mountain National Park

America is known for the Rockies, which are some of the most beautiful and the tallest mountains in America. They have stayed preserved for many years. Head to the highest peak of the Rockies and feel every worry go away as the clouds pass all around you.

2. South Island of New Zealand

The Milford Sound of New Zealand's South Island is truly breathtaking with its gorgeous combination of crystal clear water, which is perfect for kayaking, and vast mountain ranges.

3. Perugia, Italy

With its mix of classic history and pristine architecture, Italy is the ultimate place to put on your bucket list.

4. Ireland

I've dreamed about seeing The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland for many years now and I have yet to go. Ireland holds a unique variety of open green fields and heights from the water that will leave you breathless.

5. Belize

For the traveler who wants the ultimate period of relaxation and an escape from the world that we call "reality," Belize provides the place for perfect contentment.

6. Tanzania

Although it's not the typical vacation that one might think of right away, Tanzania is the place for an ultimate adventure. Whether you want to hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro or get up close and personal with elephants or lions, a trip to Tanzania will keep you on edge.

7. Amsterdam

Full of color and artistic heritage, Amsterdam is a city of culture and timeless sights. It's yet another lovely place to add to your list.

8. Australia

Australia is a place that so many daydream about, wondering what it would be like to see in person. Composed of both city life, exotic waters, and coasts, Australia is a unique place.

9. Canggu, Bali

Whether you're there for a honeymoon or just that spontaneous trip, Bali's sunsets and surrounding landscapes are a sight worth seeing.

10. Norway

If you adore stargazing like me, seeing the Northern Lights has to be on your list of things to see before you die. One of the best places to see them is in the scenic Norway.

Whether you choose to be an avid traveler or a stay-at-home go-getter, I hope that you get the chance to check things off your list, whatever they may be. Don't be afraid of new or spontaneous adventures. From what I've learned, those lead to some of the greatest memories.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
