1. Atlantic City
Another fun destination year-round brings even more people to its Boardwalk and beaches on the 4th. Whether you’re outside or watching from inside hotels, the views of the fireworks won’t disappoint.
2. Boston
Watch fireworks get shot from the Charles River as you’re watching the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular from the Harvard or Longfellow Bridges or the DCR Hatch Shell.
3. Chicago
Fireworks at Navy Pier can be seen from all over the city, but for particularly dynamite views, find a “spot” at Navy Pier. Watch from the Ferris wheel, take a fireworks cruise, or eat at a number of restaurants with waterfront views.
4. Dallas
The 30-minute show is not one to miss! Watch the Kaboom Town airshow and fireworks from Addison Circle Park.
5. Nashville
Let Freedom Ring is arguably one of the most extravagant displays in the country. Get to the event early for a full day of live music, including performances by some famous country artists, and stay for the fireworks once the sun goes down. Grab a spot along Broadway or Riverfront Park.
6. New York City
Head over to the East River to catch the Annual Macy’s Fireworks.
7. San Diego
Another celebration that can be viewed from many locations is the Big Bay Boom in San Diego. Watch from Harbor Island, Shelter Island, North/ South Embarcadero, Coronado Ferry Landing, Marina District, or from the comfort of your boat on the water itself.
8. San Francisco
At the Celebration at the Pier, catch the fireworks from any and all places—Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Coit Tower in Pioneer Park. The views won’t disappoint.
9. St. Louis
Find a spot at Art Hill or Grand Basin and watch America’s Biggest Birthday Celebration take place 3 days in a row at Fair Saint Louis.
10. Washington, DC
Try to find seats near the Jefferson or Lincoln Memorial, or a place along the East or West Potomac Park. The National Mall Independence Day Celebration lights up the sky just in front of the Washington Monument.
