Over Christmas break, I spent a lot of time planning out my life via Pinterest. Thanks to this wonderful website, I am now an interior designer, top chef, expert hair stylist, and skilled DIY-er. Pinterest is your one-stop-shop to learn how to fix things that are not broken and endless ideas on how to make things you will never need. In my excessive amount of time on Pinterest, I found a few ideas that are just downright genius and require little to no work at all.
1. Penny floor. This floor only costs $1.44 per square foot and would probably only take four months to finish. Just grab a few friends, some knee pads and a couple hundred dollars and you could have yourself a brand new floor!
2. Book reading net. Who doesn't love to read their favorite book on a massive hammock? The perfect solution to that awkward space between your first and second floor library, this net will solve all of your first world problems.
3. Martini cat condo. There is really no explanation needed for why this is a great Pinterest
idea. It's a martini cat condo. Cats get thirsty, too.
4. Trapdoor wine cellar. As a college student, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to store
all my wine bottles, so a trap door wine cellar in the bottom of my gourmet
kitchen is just what I have been in search of!
5. Aquarium dog house. I cannot wait to get this sophisticated dog house for my non-existent dog. I have never been good with keeping things alive (i.e. flowers, plants, rocks), but I think I could try my hand at fish!
6. Secret panic room. Similar to the trap door wine cellar, a secret underground room is just what everyone needs. This pin also led to me to a website that gave me more information about the impending zombie apocalypse so, needless to say, I'm interested.
7. Desk sandbox. I know I can speak for everyone when I say I am tired of my feet just resting
on the floor when I sit at my desk and do homework, so thank god someone came
up with this brilliant idea. I am sure it could even double as a liter box for
your martini condo cats.
8. Triangle stairs. These stairs are so multifunctional. Not only do they take you between
levels of your house, but they also provide a great workout and keep things
interesting. Everyone knows the key to an awesome house is confusing
stairs.
9. Staircase slide. Anyone catching a trend here? Big fan of staircases. This little number
allows you to slide downstairs when you are too tired to walk. And let's be
real, that happens more than we are willing to admit.
10. Tanning shower. In addition to stairs, I am a huge fan of multitasking, and what better way
to multitask than to shower and tan at the same time? Being pale is a bummer, and showers are necessary to be a part of society, so combining them into one
unit is pure genius.
Thanks, Pinterest. You're a life saver!
