In today's society, it is unlikely that a group of girls will make any plans without first creating a group chat with all of their best friends. Often this group chat becomes the solar system their friendship orbits around. Within the group chat, with many girls comes many personalities. 1. The Study Buddy
She is well rounded, she is extremely involved, and you may not hear from her for days at a time. Where have you been, you might ask her. She will often reply by telling you that she was at a Saturday morning study session, working on a group project, or overall just getting work done. She is also the person you go to right away for any and all homework questions. I mean, she does enough of it herself, I am sure she has already done whatever you are working on and understands it, too.
2. The Selfie Queen
This is the girl who is constantly looking for selfie approval, and relies on the group for her selfie worth. Whether it is twelve in the afternoon, or two o’clock in the morning, she is ready to send a good portion of her camera roll to the group for advice. Which filter should she use? What time is the prime time to get the most likes? Only the group chat knows what is best for her selfie needs.
3. The Crisis Hotline
Not only do you look for this person's advice within the chat, but by all means, you will text her outside of the chat as well. You know that she is not judgmental, and she will always have an open heart and mind for whatever you are going through. It is likely you rely on her frequently for all things from boys to final paper stress to being homesick. (She is not to be confused with The Motivational Speaker).
4. The Motivational Speaker
Have you ever texted the group chat because you were worried about a big exam coming up? Well, this is the person that always answers right away with a long message about how "you can do it!" To her, the whole group is beautiful and overly capable of everything life throws at them.
5. The Srat Star
She started rushing Pi Alpha Epsilon Phi Xi Delta Kappa as soon as she learned about their crazy parties but more importantly their perfect philanthropy. Since that day, it is rare you hear from her. She comes in brief waves of “I’m so hungover” or “which picture should I post with my Big?” Regardless, you will always love her, after all, she was your sister way before all of those girls in her sorority claimed her as theirs.
6. The Party Animal
From Thirsty Thursday to 2 a.m. Sunday morning, she is posting Snapchat after Snapchat of her Uber adventure to her favorite club. She is your go-to for all things mixed drinks, and advice on crop top-booty short combos. You always wait patiently for the full rundown on Sunday afternoon to find out if any boys took her home or if she is spending her day with her head in the toilet. Regardless, you know her college experience thus far has been much more exciting than yours will ever be.
7. The Bitmojier
Feeling down? There is a Bitmoji for that. Need to wish someone luck? There is a Bitmoji for that too. This person will find a Bitmoji to communicate any possible feeling and everything they want to say. Do not fear if they get a hair cut, for their Bitmoji’s hair will be updated before they even show you their new do.
8. The Wifey
You do not hear from her often, and when you do she is apologizing for the amount of time she has been spending with her boyfriend. It is as if she has started a new life with her hubby, and has left the rest of you out. Between practices, games, and team bonding, it is a rarity to hear from her. She is the reason that getting the whole squad together is nearly impossible. 10. The Future Comedian
Whether or not she is trying to be funny, when you see her name on your screen you already know it is going to be something hilarious. She always has a snide remark, and sometimes it even goes over mostly everyone's heads. For high-stress situations, she is the comic relief. When someone does something foolish, she is the first to call them out in a hysterically funny way. She keeps the group on their toes, and always replying with "LOL."
