"What is a diary as a rule? A document useful to the person who keeps it. Dull to the contemporary who reads it..." -Walter ScottAs my pen meets the paper, I ponder every feeling in my heart. I channel the happiness, the sadness, the laughter, the tears, and everything else thats worth remembering. When you keep a journal or diary, you really do get to taste life twice. The quote suggests that you will find my entries dull, while I find them useful. Lets see what you think. Here are a few entries from different journals at different times in my life.
1. "Find Yourself"
Today I realized that it is in God that we find ourselves and who we are. Stop looking and turn to God for he knows all He plans He has for us. Why do people trying to find out who they are? God knows us better than we know ourselves. Turn to God for advice, turn to God for answers, turn to God to find you.
2. "Build a Stronger You"
When we are faced with problems in our lives there are two different things we can do. We can stumble over them and let them hurt us; we can let them impact us negatively. Or we have the ability to learn from these moments. We can use them as building blocks to build a better, stronger us.
3. "Senior Feeling"
It's that feeling they always talked about; the one that I never quite understood. Today I felt it. It is deep in my heart. It's the "senior feeling." It is something to heard to describe, but I'll do my best. I am overwhelmed with nostalgia, it's almost a sadness but not quiet. As I look back on the precious memories, I wish I had that time again. I would do anything for more time, one more class, one more pep-talk This is so very bittersweet. As much as it breaks my heart this chapter of my life will soon come to an end. Can time slow down?
4. "Thankful"
God brings new people into our lives constantly. Some will drift away and out of the ones that drift some will come back. I am thankful for everyone God had introduced and re-introduced into my life. Today I feel beyond blessed.
5. "Junior Year Nostalgia"
Looking back on last year brings back some of the best memories. It seems like only yesterday it was my first day. I wish I could relive these past two years over and over again. They were years full of so much love, growth, and change.
6. "Go Best Friends"
Today I am thankful for my bestie girls. I may not tell them enough but they mean everything to me! Literally they make my heart so so happy. They listen to all my stories, are always down for a photo shoot, and make me laugh until my stomach hurts. Thank you guys for all adventures, I love them with my whole heart. I am thankful God put you guys in my life. Thank you for putting up with me, even though I can be hard to handle. Love love love my BFFs. Go best friends that's my best friends.
7. "Old Seniors"
Today I spent three-fourths of my day watching the old recital DVD on repeat. I realized how much I look up to Sunny, Jami, MJ, and Katie. I hope the younger girls will look at me that way next year. I am thankful that god put them in my life for me to look up to. They are so very awesome and continue to do amazing things. Today I feel inspired.
8. "So Much to be Thankful for"
Thank you, God, for this life. Thank you God for letting me feel happy, Thank you for our strong relationship. Thank you for good memories, for good friends. Thank you for this beautiful season. Thank you for everything.
9. "Braver, Stronger, Smarter"
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
10. "You are Fragile Yourself"
"People who live in a glass house should not throw stones." Remember you are fragile yourself. Do not cast judgment and throw stones at other who make mistakes.
