If you're stuck on campus and not sure what's so great about moving off, then this is the list to convince you to get the hell out of there as soon as possible. If you already live off campus, then this list will remind you just how great life is for you now.

1. Choosing your own roommate(s).

Schools have the best system of picking the worst roommates for you. Not living on campus gives you the power to live with your friends or with someone not crazy.

2. Having a kitchen.

Sure, you have to cook for yourself, but you to get to cook whatever you want.

3. Your own room!

Your own personal space to stress out about school.

4. Not having to be on campus all the time.

You are no longer chained to campus because you go to class there and also happen to live there.

5. Not sleeping on a twin size bed.

You will actually get a great nights sleep.

6. No floor meetings.

You could have your own floor meetings with yourself and your roommates, but that makes no sense.

7. No loud and obnoxious floormates.

You might still have some obnoxious neighbors, but at least they aren't on the other side of your bedroom wall.

8. Your own bathroom.

This is the best thing to not have to share.

9. Really living on your own.

You might have felt like you were living on your own when you moved into your dorm, but you were really just living with a bunch of other kids and were being taken care of by a bunch of adults that weren't related to you. Off-campus, it's every man for themselves.

10. Experiencing the world outside of a college campus and your parent's house.

You're finally in the real world and on your own. You make your own rules, pay at least some of your own bills, and make all of your own decisions. It's liberating and terrifying at the same time, but oh so exciting.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
