This is to all the people who love living on their all-girls floor and are seriously sad that they have to move next year. This is dedicated to my all-girls floor. They are the most wonderful group of people and have made freshman year unforgettable. Thank you for the late night talks, cute clothes, hair tutorials, and funny stories. You are a one of a kind group and this is to all the girls who got lucky enough to live on an all girls floor for their first year.

1. Not caring about the way you dress when you go to the bathroom

You can walk out of your room without a bra on and no one is going to judge you. It comes in handy at two in the morning and you do not have to worry about walking into the bathroom and seeing a guy. It makes you more comfortable living on your floor.

.

2. Your RA

She is a one of a kind type of gal and has the most creative ideas and activities for us to bond. Without her, the perks of living on an all girl’s floor would be nonexistent. She keeps you in line and she fully supports you and can help you through anything.

3. You can borrow things from them

We all have been there: Nothing to wear and you have to leave in twenty minutes. Thank goodness you have thirty closets open to you so that you can borrow the perfect shoes and top. They help you look good for a fun night out.

4. Sisterhood

There is nothing like having a rough day and then coming back to your floor and knowing that someone will sit and listen to your problems. If you are anything like me and do not have a sister, these moments are all the more precious. Who knew I would go to college and walk away with thirty sisters?

5. Clothing swaps are legit

Since it is spring, everyone has been cleaning their closets free clothes are up for grabs. It is nice to know that you can throw clothes out into the hall and someone will fall in love with it and where it over and over again. It is a floor full of never-ending hand-me-downs and it is wonderful.

6. Clean bathrooms

Even if you think your bathroom is a mess, take a walk down to the boy’s bathroom and you will be grateful that it smells good. Girl’s invest in good hair products so if you forget your shampoo, chances are someone left some in there and at least your hair is in good hands.

7. One big sleepover all the time

You can leave your door open and girl’s will come in and out and you can talk endlessly to odd hours of the night and no one will judge you. Sometimes you need a good venting sesh.

8. You know all the gossip

You pick up on which guys are goods and which guys are bad. And you know everything that happened at the party last night. The floor is like the People magazine of the school’s gossip and the girls keep you up to date with the goings on of the school

9. You all get along really well

Even though girl’s get a bad rep about not getting along living on a floor of all girl’s defies all odds. We are close and respect each other and we prove that girl’s rule and boys drool.

10. Everyone’s doors are always decorated cutely

You walk down the hall and every door has white boards, holiday decorations, cute posters, and balloons. It looks pretty and who doesn't love a pretty home?

If you are a girl and a senior in high school, I highly recommend that you read this to show you how much fun you can have on an all girl's floor. It will fill you with memories for the rest of your lifetime and it will give you the chance to meet some of the world's greatest people and you will probably meet some of your best friends. I know I did.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
