10 Things Every Girl Can Relate to When It's 'That' Time of The Month

In This Article:

We all know what cramps mean, it means that your period just started and you are about to endure some pretty awful symptoms for the next five to seven days. Guys just don't understand why you are craving a bunch of weird things and that you are happy one second and then crying over something the next. They will never understand the struggle we go through just because we aren't pregnant! Honestly its a cliche but we should not be punished with our period because we didn't get pregnant, we should just get a pat on the back and a good job. But every girl understands that it sucks!!!

1. Unjustified Anger

Giphy

Little things just set you off, you get mad and all you wanna do is just punch someone in the face. No matter how minuscule the issue it just sets you off and there is nothing you can do but get angry and be in a pissed off mood.

2. Feeling so drained of energy

Giphy

No matter how much you sleep when you get up in the morning all you wanna do is go back to bed. Always feeling so drowsy and not being able to do anything about it.

3. Crying for no logical reason

Giphy

If its just watching a commercial about a puppy, or being yelled at by your parents, the tears just start to flow and there is nothing you can do about it. Even if you are sad you just feel like crying, and you just can't understand why.

4. Craving everything under the sun

Giphy

Whether its pizza, or sushi, or a steak. There is something about this week that has you wanting so many different things and being hungry all the time! And if you don't get to satisfy those cravings it is gonna be a horrible week.

5. Not wanting to go out into public.

Giphy

Just feeling at your worst and you have to put on clothes and go out into the world. When all you want to do is just lay in a big T-shirt and not have to leave your bed. And be able to just lounge around.

6. Not being prepared

Giphy

Ohh that lovely time when it just happens to show up out of nowhere and you don't have a pad or a tampon on you. Now you are stressed and hoping that your mom or friends have one or the public restroom has one of those dispensers because if not you are gonna have to go buy one or go all the way home to get one. Because no one wants to deal with that mess.

7. BLOATING !!

Giphy

We have all been there, its one of the awful symptoms of having your period. Feeling like a ballon and not being able to fix it. I hate that feeling so much, it just makes you feel kinda gross.

8. Making sure you don't wear any of your favorite clothes.

Giphy

Its the saddest thing when one of your favorite pair of jeans gets stained or that romper you love so much. Because that stain probably isn't gonna come out. Lost a lot of good clothes from this week over the years, ohh and don't get me started on all the underwear that gets ruined. Its so sad.

9. CRAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giphy

We all know what happens when these hit: your world basically feels like its coming crashing down. The pain sometimes is just unimaginable, it's intense.

10. But when those seven days are over, its celebration time (just until next month though).

Giphy

Finally no more feeling run down or crappy, you can now go back to living life not feeling like your dying. It's time to celebrate, try to forget that it's coming back in a month.

It sucks, it causes a lot of problems and seriously awkward situations. But its the price we pay for not being pregnant. Which is honestly are really messed up situation. Being a woman is a lot of work. Ohhh, periods, you suck!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
