10 Accounts You Need To Follow On Twitter
Leonardo DiCaprio Twitter

You're probably on social media a little too often, but it's OK, we all are. So why not make use of it and follow some productive people with some important things to say on Twitter? While we're wasting away our time on social media, we might as well make it kind of valuable, right? (Also, make sure to follow some people that are going to make you laugh really hard, some of which I have included in this list.)

1. @TIME

Time magazine posts current events and breaking news around the world. They are one of the most influential companies around and definitely deserve your follow!

2. @yokoono

Yoko Ono is an influential peace activist and filmmaker. She posts artwork and gives us motivation to all live in more peace and harmony on this planet.

3. @DalaiLama

If you aren't already following the Dalai Lama, you need to immediately. He, of course, posts his own wisdom and quotes and his take on the issues that are happening in our world today.

4. @LeoDiCaprio

DiCaprio isn't just a hot actor. He's an environmentalist who posts about our planet's major environmental issues such as climate change. He also has various nonprofit organizations dedicated to making our planet a better place, which he posts about on his twitter regularly.

5. @JODYHIGHROLLER

Alright, I'll admit, Riff Raff doesn't really talk about anything that important. However, he is hilarious and will give you a break from all of the heavy stuff the other accounts discuss.

6. @ComplexMag

Complex magazine posts a ton of interesting stuff to scroll through while you're bored in class or stuck on the trolley on the way to downtown. They post interesting and relevant news, as well as what's happening in pop culture right now.

7. @BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed is one of my absolute favorites. It's actually a necessity to have them on your feed. They post everything from news to humor to hilarious videos. Definitely the perfect boredom cure.

8. @LenaDunham

Lena Dunham is an actress, author, feminist and activist. She posts hilarious tweets about her life, but also shares a lot of news stories having to do with modern feminism.

9. @EmmaWatson

Not only is Watson an amazing actress, but she is an activist for the Equality Movement #HeForShe and regularly does amazing things for the UN Women movement. She event posts news and current events.

10. @TheEllenShow

OK, this one is pretty self-explanatory. Who doesn't need a little Ellen in their life? She is always one to post something that's bound to make you laugh as well as give you updates on her show. Literally the best . You need to be following her right now.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
