Well, things are looking pretty bad, and the current political situations make me extremely sad. Therefore, I decided to make my own list of 10 people I would rather vote for in November. Whether you are reading this to laugh, to avoid responsibilities, or to get some ideas for write-ins, I hope you enjoy my list!
1. Tyler Perry's Madea
Could you imagine how easily conflicts would be solved if Tyler Perry's Madea was President? Let Madea catch someone out of place one time and they may find their car on a forklift like in Madea Goes to Jail! Not only would Madea be able to handle situations like a boss, she also represents some very meaningful rules such as respecting your elders, not running from your problems, and the importance of family. I guarantee the world would be a better place if Ms. Madea was in office!
2. Mike Rowe
I think it is safe to say that Mike Rowe has been in some very crappy situations! I think he would definitely be able to step in and handle the messy circumstance that we have going on now! He is not afraid to work hard, get down and dirty, and dive into some heavy mess in order to get something done! Put him in!
3. Morgan Freeman
I would elect Mr. Freeman just to hear his speeches. A tone of eloquence, and a voice of wisdom. I would bet that the majority of words in a meeting filled with world leaders would come from him, simply because of his voice. Such as in Evan Almighty, it may be like you're listening to God himself!
4. Bob Hoffman
If you can shock the world and beat Duke in March Madness, you can definitely enter office and handle the World's madness! Bob Hoffman knows how to argue his case, fight for what is right, and lead his team to victory. One time he even told me to have a blessed day. No big deal. Go Bears, we beat Duke.
5. Forrest Gump
Since Forrest Gump from the movie Forrest Gump runs everywhere else, he might as well run for President! A person with a gentle heart, a kind soul, and incredible endurance, Forrest would be able to unify a nation and bring compassion to the world. Also, his speeches would be right up there with Morgan's!
6. Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games
She knows a troubled world, she knows the importance of family, and she knows how to put someone in their place. After surviving the Games, I have no doubt that Katniss could hold her own and keep our American people safe!
7. Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) from The Office
I'm not sure what else I need to say. We would all love to see this.
8. Mark Richt
A Godly man who speaks with such calm and settling words, Mark would definitely make it on my list for write-ins. Regardless of football, Richt teaches respect and discipline, while also showing immense love and support. Mark is a guy whose passion to for doing the right thing and compassion for humans is something that every parent, friend, and mentor wants to do. What an option this would be!
9. Fat Amy from Pitch Perfect
She's funny, she's cultured, and she can sing, what more can you ask for in a President? Fat Amy appeals to me because she is can settle disputes by seeing both sides, but also she can make the whole world laugh in one movie! She will not be pushed around but will be someone who can shed a little light on the situation. The accent may be a little of an issue, though!
10. Myself, or anyone with a little compassion
I do not consider myself at many things, especially not politics or political agenda, but I know that I can show compassion and love to others, which is something that needs to be done. Truthfully, right now I would vote for someone who shows that they are able to love the ones they are representing, while also reducing the abundant hatred in this country. We do live in a wonderful nation, but we need someone who will lead us towards compassion, helpfulness and unity. If I were to run, I may not know everything about politics, but I think I could make a step in the right direction by expressing love and not spewing hatred. Anyone, for that matter, would have my vote if they showed me they were more about unifying a nation rather than political agenda.
Unfortunately, politics have drawn many lines and ruined many friendships some of us. However, if we find those who actually made a difference in our nation, we will find that the roots of their success were unity and love. So, if you can show love and express compassion, congratulations! You've have jumped to number one in my vote, considering the political circumstances now.
Thank you so much for reading, and let me know who you would want to add to the list!
