If you're anything like me (average student in the classroom who's motivational level drops dramatically faster every year) then you have your "things" that you need to be successful.

Call it superstition, weird, or just being incredibly aware and prepared, but either way we all have our "must haves" when times get stressful AKA when college hits you like a ton of bricks.

My top ten of sorts is a combination of school supplies, snacks, and other things that just comfort me when I have three test, a quiz, a couple papers, and some homework all in one week.

1) My Planner: Honestly I can't even remember why I haven't had one since the time I learned how to read and write. There's just something about writing E V E R Y T H I N G I have due in a semester down and getting to cross it out with a bright red pen when I've finally submitted it to the Dropbox. (hehehe)

2) My Pens: UGH, only my favorite school supply ever. My very most favorite multi-colored felt tip pens that keep my notes interesting, my planner Pinterest-worthy, and my life just a little bit better.

3) My Macbook Air: So I know my parents bought me this laptop for school BUT it can simultaneously play my apple music playlist, scroll through social media, have three word documents open, and a tab open for online shopping (pretty impressive if you ask me). Plus, I love loVE LOVE getting to organize everything into different folders where it will be easy for me to find when I'm cramming at 2am during finals week.

Can you tell I have slight case of OCD yet?

4) Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzel Thins: I have this obsession with dark chocolate and when you add thin pretzel chips to the mix, it seriously can make my entire day go from a 3 to a 300. AND it can't be that bad for you right? Dark chocolate isn't that bad and it's freakin pretzel thins, so you're technically being healthy when eating them.

5) Pocket Points: If you're a college student and you don't have "Pocket Points" you are doing something wrong. You get points for staying off of your phone and can use those points at different restaurants (and bars *smirking face*) and get DISCOUNTS. What college student's don't want discounts on food, ice cream, drinks, and clothes????

6) Apple Tv: One of my favorite electronic devices ever created. You can watch tv, listen to your music, look at pictures, and you get all the channels you have at home. NETFLIX all the time. My personal favorite, THE BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE anytime you want. It's one of my favorite gifts I received from graduation and if you get one you will not be disappointed.

7) My Keurig: For all you coffee lover's out there (or tea, hot chocolate, etc.) get a Keurig. I use mine at least once a day and it is perfect at making your favorite drink whatever mood you're in.

8) Coconut Oil: It makes your skin softer, hair shinier/moisturized, and when paired with a hot shower makes you feel 100% better on your off days.

9) Mattress Pad: Don't go cheap, whatever you do. Splurge and you'll appreciate an expensive thick mattress pad in the long run.

10) My Roommates: cliche, cheesy, but totally accurate. My roommates are my very best friends, study buddies, fellow late night Andy's run goers, and some of my favorite people. They make my bad days better and my good days great and I really can't imagine going on this crazy adventure with any other people.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
