Even through we live in 2016, that doesn't mean that everything is necessarily the best. In my opinion, movies made in the 80s and 90s are the absolute best kind.

Here are the top 10 movies every American millennial should watch:

1. Can't Buy Me Love

A story about young love. Not to mention, a young Patrick Dempsey.

2. Night At The Roxbury

A hilarious movie about getting laid and getting rich.

3. The Shinning

A scary movie about the psychotic man who has been consumed within his own writing and his own thoughts.


4. Weird Science

An alternative movie about coming of age and creating a super model robot.


5. Coming To America

A hilarious movie about coming to the U.S as a prince from Africa. In search of his wife, Eddie Murphy finds his princess in the midst of Queens, New York.


6. Goodfellas

If you love gangster movies, this is for you. Filled with blood, guns and Italian spaghetti.


7. Silence Of The Lambs

A crime movie with the great acting and Anthony Hopkins.


8. Seven

A crime movie about the seven deadly sins and how those sins can backfire.


9. Fargo

An alternative film about finding the bad guys in the heavy snow of Minnesota.

10. Boyz n the Hood

A coming of age drama about the heavy life of living in the hood.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
