10 Mandela Effects That Will Make You Feel Crazy

We're all a little mad here.

10 Mandela Effects That Will Make You Feel Crazy

If you don't know what the Mandela effect is, you've probably been living in a box for the past few years. It's a crazy phenomenon that occurs when a large majority of people remember something a certain way, but when we revisit it, it turns out to be completely different. The most popular occurrence was the well-known "Berenstein Bears" book series. Blowing everyone's' minds, it turned out to be spelled "Berenstain Bears." That one truly made me reconsider everything. Not all Mandela effects appear significant to everyone, but these are a few that boggled my mind.

1. Jif Peanut Butter.

I swear I could remember picking up a container of "Jiffy" peanut butter at the store when I was younger. Turns out, it's always just been "Jif." So where did we all pick up the last few letters from?

2. Febreze.

It would make way more sense if it was spelled "Febreeze," right? Wrong. It's always just been "Febreze."

3. Kit Kat.

I love eating Kit Kat bars, they're one of my favorites. I always thought there was a dash between Kit and Kat: Kit-Kat. That must've been a hallucination because it's literally just Kit Kat.

4. Double Stuf Oreos.

The proper spelling of this would've been "Double Stuff" which is maybe why we all didn't remember that it was JUST "Double Stuf." But, why would you do us like that, Oreo?

5. C3PO has a silver leg.

I could've sworn this robot from "Star Wars" was fully made of gold metal. Turns out, he's always had one silver leg. Ummm... what?

6. Chartreuse.

There's a huge discrepancy over what color Chartreuse really is. Some of us always thought it was a magenta pinky color when in reality, it's more of a forest green.

7. Snow White's mirror.

Don't even try denying this one. We always remember the Evil Queen saying, "Mirror, mirror on the wall." Well, to our surprise, she never said that. She says, "Magic mirror on the wall..." BYE.

8. Curious George.

We all know Curious George, the MONKEY. It would make sense that he would have a tail, right? Wrong. He literally never had a tail.

9. Looney Tunes.

We all thought it was "Looney Toons" since they were cartoon characters. So, why the heck is it now called "Looney Tunes?" Which, by the way, makes absolutely no sense.

10. Oscar Mayer.

You know, the brand that makes cold cuts and hot dogs. People swear it was called "Oscar Meyer" with an E. Nope, it was always "Oscar Mayer."

There's so much more to explore for yourself, some you may agree with; others not so much. These, however, truly had me disturbed.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
