Anyone who is a fan of the popular video game "Undertale" knows that it's far more than a video game. It holds symbolism, truth and meaning behind every adorable 8-bit character.

Toby Fox, creator of the game, challenges what video games have traditionally been known for with "Undertale," saying "Hurting things in normalized and has loads of established ways to make it feel fun. "Undertale" will make you contemplate life itself, but it can also help teach you some valuable lessons to take with you as you travel through life. Here are the top seven.

1. Sometimes the ones that are the most adorable are often the most evil.

Remember beginning the game, meeting Flowey the Flower, and thinking he was just an adorable, little flower that genuinely wanted to help you? Think again. He ends up being your biggest enemy in the game. Figures.

2. It's good to have someone around who can always crack a joke.

From the moment you meet Sans, and his comic sans dialogue, you know he's going to be a riot. Pun after pun, he always leaves you smiling and is often just what you need after confronting monsters all day.

3. Even the most uptight person you know still has a fun side.

Papyrus is initially a stickler for the rules, but after getting to know you, he starts to reveal that his mind isn't always on his job; he has a very interesting personality. He'll even make you his famous spaghetti if you play your cards right.

4. Even when you have every reason to over react, it's often best just to give mercy.
There are so many times in "Undertale" where patience is tested between lesser dogs, froggits, and moldsmals with their petty problems. Showing mercy almost always works in your favor.

5. Outward appearance doesn't really mean much.

In the game, you play as a small person in a striped sweater. That's it. No glitz, no glam, just pure power in your tiny, human hands. You even get asked on a date, just for being you!

6. Our differences don't have to divide us.

Though humans and monsters have been at war for centuries, that doesn't mean that we can't all be friends in the end. In fact, our differences should unite us, not divide us.

7. No matter what the situation, let it fill you with determination.

Throughout every hardship and good time in the game, you always let the situation fill you with determination to keep progressing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
