1. Sylas & Maddy's.
An ice cream shop located on Massachusetts Street. All the ice cream is homemade with a wide variety of flavors, that goes along perfectly with the homemade waffle cones. Tuesday nights are usually the busiest because it's buy one ice cream cone, get one free when you show your student ID.
2. 715.
This restaurant can also be found on Massachusetts Street. The menu changes almost daily due to all the food being locally grown and purchased. The overall atmosphere is contemporary, yet laid back, perfect for date night or Sunday brunch.
3. The Mad Greek.
Next door to Chipotle, both of which are on Massachusetts Street. If you're in the mood for a gyro or some hummus, this is the perfect place to stop. The Mad Greek is a great, casual place to eat if you're looking for an alternative to the burger and pizza places that can be found in Lawrence.
4. Burger Stand at The Casbah.
One of the many places to go if you're looking for a classic Americanized meal. They offer a wide variety of burgers, fries that you can't resist, and plenty of dessert options...if by some miracle you still have any room left after binging.
5. Cielto's.
Your go to place for an all around average Mexican dining experience. The food and service aren't terrible, but it isn't a five star dining experience either. Go on your birthday and get the chance to wear a huge sombrero during your meal. All the same this is a classier alternative to Taco Bell.
6. Java Break.
A retro 24-hour coffee and smoothie shop. Equipped with a cereal bar and eclectic decorations, this is the perfect spot for a study group or a coffee date. At Java Break there is something for everyone and you can just feel yourself becoming cooler the longer you sit there.
7. Fuzzy's Taco Shop.
Required eating when visiting or residing in Lawrence. There's something they must put in the food that makes it just oh so addicting. It's hard to suggest just one thing from the menu to try, but you can never go wrong with the chips and queso of course.
8. The Wheel.
Ppopular bar for a lot of the upperclassmen to head to for a night out. It also doubles as a pizza place. Whether you're wanting a snack on your way home from the bars or just a place to take your family on parent's weekend, you can not go wrong with pizza from the Wheel.
9. Papa Keno's.
Another restaurant deemed to have the best pizza in Lawrence. While I'm on a personal mission to find the best pizza in Lawrence, Papa Keno's is definitely still in the running. Perfect for if you want an ungodly amount of pizza on a college budget.

Has great deals on their food during weekday nights. It's located inside the Oread Hotel. After your meal you can always pop up to the top of the Oread and experience one of the best views of Lawrence you may ever find.
