These are some of my favorite anecdotal health tips to help you get the most out of your summer! I try my hardest to follow these ten tips, can you?!

1. Drink lots of water and stay hydrated! This will help your skin stay soft and retain its elasticity and help your body as a whole.

2. Eat organic food as much as possible. Most food and produce in stores are sprayed heavily with pesticides and or GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) and it is best to avoid them when you can.

3. Cut out sugar as much as possible! It is good to limit added sugar to your diet to about 25 grams (or 6 teaspoons) a day.

4. Find toothpaste without fluoride. Recent studies have come out showing that fluoride can actually be harmful to your health and not beneficial to your teeth. Tom’s of Maine Anti-plaque and Whitening toothpaste is one of my favorites!

5. Eat healthy fats. Healthy fats are very important to your health and should not be forgotten about! You can find healthy fats in avocados, eggs, and plenty of other tasty foods.

6. Check your deodorant for aluminum, if it has it, throw it out! Metals like aluminum get absorbed into your skin and are bad for your health. There are plenty of awesome deodorants out there that do not contain aluminum; Tom’s deodorant is again one of my favorites!

7. Get proper rest. Sleep is the time when your body restores and repairs itself and is very important to your overall health!

8. Buy a bottle of organic apple cider vinegar (with “the Mother”) and take a teaspoon daily. Just research it online, you will be amazed at all of the health benefits!

9. Aim to walk about 10,000 steps each day. Walking is one of the best and easiest ways to stay in shape and be active.

10. Get at least 20 minutes of sunlight each day along with your daily dose of vitamin D.
