Because we all wanted to go to Halloween Town at some point.

With Halloween only a week away, I feel as if I haven't gotten into the Halloween spirit enough. Growing older, I've realized there is not enough time to apple pick, carve pumpkins, drink your weight in apple cider, and binge watch Halloween movies while also going to school full time and working.

Some of my favorite memories as a kid involved getting to curl up with all the junk food in the world and watch all the fun holiday movies, especially the Disney Channel ones. Here are some of my favorite "children's" Halloween movies (because let's be real, we still love them as adults).

1. Hocus Pocus

This movie was my all time favorite. I won't lie, it still is. It is such an extremely fun movie. Hopefully, the sequel to come will live up to its glory. And let's be real, we all thought Max was super cute

2. Halloween Town

Honestly as a kid, was it even really Halloween if you didn't watch this movie? Not to mention the sequel and the two others to follow. Although they changed the actress of the main character in the final one, we still adored the movies. I think at some point we all wanted to visit Halloween Town.

3. Don't Look Under the Bed

I don't know about anyone else but this movie TERRIFIED me when I was a kid, but I still loved it. I think it had a great level of creepy and fun. I remember I would watch it when I should have been sleeping (sorry mom) and then realizing I definitely wasn't going to fall asleep after because I was so creeped out.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie is a classic. It is definitely the best of both worlds, Christmas and Halloween-- what more could you want?

5. Under Wraps

Three friends find a mummy and are on a mission to return him by midnight. The shenanigans that these kids and mummy get into is truly entertaining. Instead of taking a creepy mummy, you turn it into a goof ball who needs help from these kids.

6. Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire

Coming from a household with a single mom, I think for a good chunk of my childhood I was scared my mom would date a vampire. What made it even more comical that I was scared of this, I knew vampires weren't real and I have always been super interested in movies, books, and tv shows about vampires, I still am.

7. Phantom of the Megaplex

This movie was a modern take on Phantom of the Opera. A group of siblings (mind you the sister is a horror movie freak) take it upon themselves to find out who is haunting the megaplex. I think right below Hocus Pocus, this is my second favorite.

8. Casper Meets Wendy

Although this wasn't one of the mainly popular ones, it was still such a great movie. Most of us were in love with Lizzie Mcguire when we were young so I know that made me love this movie anymore because it starred Hilary Duff as Wendy.

9. Double, Double, Toil and Trouble

I don't know about anyone else, but I grew up on Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies. I always felt like there was a new one to see, yet I would always watch the same ones over and over. I mean who didn't love these two, especially as Michelle Tanner on Full House.

10. It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

This one is an ultimate classic. We've watched Charlie Brown growing up, our parents watched it, and our kids will probably watch it too. Luckily for us, theres a Charlie Brown special for almost every holiday!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
