We've all been there. It's three in the afternoon, all your friends are out or in class and you have nothing to do. You're sitting around waiting for your next class to begin and you have some time to kill. So what do you do? You mess around on your phone. Here are some great apps to help you waste that time!

1. "Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector"

"Neko Atsume" is an adorable app which lets you take photos and watch cute little kittens at play! It has relaxing background music to help you un-stress. Collect all the cats and have fun!

2. Yik Yak

Make your account today and start yakking anonymously with the people around you. This is a popular app among college students for posting quippy one-liners, puns and asking for the occasional hook-up. Sure to be a good laugh!

3. Snapchat

Snapchat is a great way to send quick pictures to your friends as you go about your day. The pictures stick around for a few seconds and go away when sent to individuals and your Snapchat story is erased every 24-hours.

4. Netflix

Now you can enjoy your favorite movies and TV shows on the go! Just hurry up and finish your marathons before Netflix takes them all down. Thousands of options and nothing to watch; just looking for something is a great time-waster.

5. Spotify

Put together a playlist of your favorite music or browse through the recommendations. Spotify has everything from musicals to punk-pop. And if you can't find it on Spotify, there's always YouTube.

6. YouTube

In the early days of the internet YouTube was the place to go. Anyone remember "The Ultimate Showdown"? That used to be the buzz going around my middle school. Nowadays there are YouTube celebrities! Find one you like and start watching.

7. Codex Fanfiction Reader

Hello ladies (and some gentlemen). Quiet night in, just you, your phone and your one true pairing. Read on the go or tucked up in bed in your fuzziest pyjamas. Sort through your favorite crack-pairings and AUs until the night is through.

8. Wish

Wish is a great shopping app to browse through looking for the perfect gift for yourself. Fill your shopping basket with your every heart's desire at a fraction of the department store cost. Look for great deals and wish away!

9. 8tracks

This one's another great music app. You can save interesting playlists to listen to later and organize your favorite tracks. See what everyone's listening to now.

10. Flow Free

When all else fails, open up Flow Free. It's a simple puzzle game that can make hours fly by in what feels like minutes. Wait until you unlock "9x9 Mania!"
