On Saturday, January 21, women from across the nation gathered to raise their voices in defense of their bodies, in support of the LGBTQ+ community, in support of immigrants and Muslims and anyone who does not fit into the incredibly small perimeters our new president has established. On Saturday, women protested in honor of the women who marched before us, and of the generation who will ultimately live the changes we are fighting for. With a turnout of one million in Washington and more than 600 sister marches happening not only across the country but across the globe, the Women's March was a triumph for people worldwide, for anyone who has ever felt their voices were silenced by the bigger, the richer, the powerful. The truth is however, I think the most powerful thing is unity, and so when we march together and let our voices join as one, we are the most powerful force of all.
