10 Female TV Characters You Wish Were In Your Sorority

As we lay in bed, Netflix Bingeing as always, we become obsessed with the female characters on the screen, and immediately want to be best friends with them. You cannot help but think what it would be like if these women were in your chapter. While each character is so very different, they all could give so much to their sisters. We’ve narrowed it down to ten of the best women on TV as we take a look at what each of them would bring to their chapter.

1. Olivia Pope

Loyalty is everything. Liv and her gladiators are the perfect examples of how we should treat one another. Not only that, though, she teaches us that nobody is perfect, and this is something we need to be reminded of frequently.

2. Blair Waldorf

Have you ever noticed how critical her planning is? LIKE WOW. Can she please be fall philanthropy chair? Not only that, she is like a shining ball of wisdom. “Destiny is for losers, it’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen.”

3. Brooke Davis

Brooke is the role model upon role models. She is your daily reminder that the past does not define your future. Not only is her poise and beauty enough to light up an entire room, but also her heart is so genuine. Every girl in the world needs more friends like that. And okay… just look at her closet, can you imagine having that in your sorority house?

4. Lemon Breeland

Lemon is the epitome of “keep an open mind” in sorority terms. Lemon teaches us that we can be friends with anyone, and they don’t have to be just like us. We would be reminded that being best friends with someone outside of our chapter is okay.

5. Carrie Bradshaw

Carrie went after her dreams fearlessly, and didn’t let failure corrupt her. She is so relatable because along with her mistakes come lessons learned. To add to that, she is so devoted to her pals. The support she has for her friends is literally #friendshipgoals.

6. Olivia Benson

Every sorority needs a sister to be the mom of the group. Not only will Olivia take care of you whenever you need her, she will protect you from any crappy guy that walks into your life. And she’s just plain fab, so there’s that.

7. Cristina Yang

No one wants to be a part of the “fake” sorority. With Christina Yang as a member that would never happen. Her lack of a filter, and complete honesty would make her the perfect sister to go to for a truthful opinion about anything. Frankly, she keeps sh*t real.

8. Mindy Lahiri

Need to boost campus relations? No worries, having Mindy Lahiri in your sorority makes that easy. Her ability to humorously charm anyone into being her friend makes her a great representation for your chapter. Not to mention no one can ever say anything bad about her because she’s just so nice.

9. Rachel Green

It is important to always have someone behind you to support you in any choice you make, good or bad. Rachel Green would be that sister. The love and support she has for her “friends” is incomparably contagious and is something every chapter could use more of.

10. Jessica Day

Sometimes all you need is a good laugh with your sisters. With Jess in your chapter, that’s guaranteed to happen 24/7. Bad days will not exist when Jess cracks a joke. Not only will she bring more fun to your chapter but she’ll also bring more smiles. Have you seen her blue eyes? #instaworthy.

Each of these women represent the diversity that makes a chapter great. Despite the fact that these characters are stuck within the TV, I’m pretty sure they all would be extended a bid, and be great additions to any chapter within the Panhellenic community. Shoutout to all the powerful women on TV, keep doing you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
